bad hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: new management
Location: close to fwy
I made reservations for a king bed of a roller bed, but when I arrived at the hotel I was given a room with two twin beds which I was unsuccessful in obtaining the type of room that I had paid more than $225.00 dollars a night. I am 6'5" 240lbs so I was very uncomfortable and inconviences. Al, the manager did not assist me or provide me with compensation for my inconvience!

No lo recomendaria

Posted Jul 29, 2015

Convenient to Little Italy close to downtown

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Close to downtown, Little Italy, Balboa Park and Hillcrest area
Cons: When we arrived there was a towel left in the tub and the shower head was not working but they replaced it promptly. But other than that, it was nice
Location: close to all major attractions
Overall it was pleasant but would have preferred a room on a higher floor. We were on the second floor next to the parking lot.

This is the hotel to be if you like to have quick access to all the sites. It is about 15 to 20 minutes from every thing and gaslight district in walking distance. I would budget in for parking downtown if you drive

The staff was great, the hotel room was clean and very nice. Overall awesome experience! The only negative in my opinon was the $30/day parking fee.

So close to the highway and harbor

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Everything was phenomenal.
Cons: Valet parking is forced. It would be great to have a parking option that is not $30/day.
Location: Harbor, The Big Bay, Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy are all close by.
We had checked in to another hotel and it was terrible. With a small child, we needed something that was much safer and comfortable. We called and were told that, although check-in was 3pm the next day, we could come early due to our situation and were checked in at 1030 am the next morning. Our room was unbelievable, with a wonderful view of the harbor. We were given a crib for our baby, the room was clean and comfortable, and most importantly, the service was unbelievable. From the valet parking, to the front desk staff, to the restaurant staff, all were very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego.

Fairly pleasing hotel

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Cons: Better restaurant facility.
Hotel is located 10-15 minute walk from main downtown area less than 10 minutes from the airport on the hotel free shuttle. Rooms are fair size and comfort able. The restaurant is disappointing with a limited bar menu and no buffet breakfast. I found it necessary to eat all meals at the Double Tree hotel restaurant just across the street where a full service restaurant is provided with a good buffet breakfast ( eat as much as you like at a very reasonable price).

The recent remodel can't hide the all the imperfections of the hotel. Areas of room were dirty and out if date with the rest of the room. Plus the wifi doesn't work in the room, and I was told they are working on it. Doubt it. To me it seems like the over friendliness of the staff is to compensate for the aging hotels imperfections.
