Great experience. The rooftop had a great view. The rooms are good size and a great place to have a good time.

Was better than expected

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Staff was super nice and the location.
Cons: Getting new pull out couches. I know pull out couches are never comfortable but I think they may need replacing.
Location: Close to bars and resturants
The hotel is much nicer in person compared to some of the pictures I saw online. Everything seems like it's been recently redone. Two thumbs up from me. This is were I'll be staying next time I visit San Diego!

Nice hotel, close to the action

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Liked the friendly service. The bed was great, slept well.
Cons: The biggest problem, and one which might prevent me from coming back, was that there was no wifi in the room, only in the lobby and the rooftop.
Location: In a fun part of town.
Went to the Stones concert at Petco Park. Hotel a nice seven block walk away with lots of restaurants along the way. The streets were crowded with people with a nice event vibe. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, helpful, and happy, from the parking guys to the front desk staff, which helped make our overnight stay seem like a real holiday.

Charming!

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Very clean
Cons: The continental breakfast needs more variety ie jogurt, variety of cereal, better fruit selection
Location: Eat, drink, shop!
Perfect location for events at convention centre. Great shopping nearby. Delicious guacamole and Dos Equis in the area. Recommend La Puerta. Very disappointed at the Hard Rock. Safe area. Must eat at Osetra, seafood pasta dish was a highlight.

I was disappointed as I brought some trash down to throw away. When I asked where I could throw it from the vallet they pointed me to the back of the dark parking lot. When I saw it was at the back of the parking lot I said I'm not walking back there....he never offered to take it from me! So I took it back up to room and set it outside my door.

Good value right in the heart of things

Posted May 22, 2015
Cons: Can't do much about the noise at night off of 5th St. but not too bad.
Location: Just everything the Gaslamp area has to offer--professional baseball stadium, a gazillion restaurants, movie theatres, night clubs, bars...
Stayed for business at the convention ctr. The place feels like an office building from an earlier time, with rooms (at least on the 2nd floor) off of corridors of marble and glass front doors to meeting rooms. Nicely appointed rooms with a retro feel.

It's an old hotel but the location and the rooftop terrace is great!
