Great option on Coronado Island!Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: OVERALL, the Glorietta Bay Inn is a KILLER deal with lots of FREE "EXTRAs" that made it WORTH IT! Here are the extras that we weren't fully aware of u
Cons: Not really. Overall experience was good.
Location: The location is GREAT! right across the street from the Coronado Hotel, and beach. As close to the beach with out being at a hotel right ON the beach
We did our reserch and decided on the Glorietta Bay Inn on Coronado Island, CA. This hotel is quite complex…as they have expanded MANY times through the years. Please note that there are SEVEN different "levels / types" of rooms at the Glorietta Bay Inn. The room types & rates vary from location to the water, room size, view, bed size, and room decor. (Room decor options are old school victorian to modern "white linens and flat screen TV".) We opted for the modern deluxe room and chose well! As the "basic" room is very small and would have disappointed us. OVERALL, the Glorietta Bay Inn is a KILLER deal with lots of FREE "EXTRAs" that made it WORTH IT! Here are the extras that we weren't fully aware of until arrival. 1. It is right across the street from the CORONDAO & Beach. 2. It is very close to the "city center" with restaurants and shops with in very close walking distance. 3. The breakfast was incredible compared to the usual "continential breakfast" at most places. The breakfast had 3 types of fresh exotic sliced fruit, gourmet pastries, and many other wonderful things. ALSO, they have ACTUAL plates, cups, and silver wear for you to eat with so you don't feel like you are always at a breakfast picnic. 4. Free gourmet FRESH coffee 12 hours a day! 5. Free lemonade punch and classic ginger snap cookies from 3-5 pm every day. 6. Free beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, and other random beach things. THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL. & they didn't pay me to say this!

Great choicePosted May 18, 2014
My mother-in-law was out visiting from Illinois and even though my husband and I live in the San Diego area, we booked a room at the Glorietta Bay Inn so we be close to the beach. So happy we chose this hotel!

Very Nice hotel near the beach...Posted Apr 19, 2014
The rooms were very clean. Staff was the best I have seen in a long time. Customer service, was excellent.. I wished more Hotels were like this one. It seemed like all the employees loved their jobs and took pride in helping you in any way. I was at the Inn for 2 weeks visiting my husband, who was working in SD. Short walk across the street at The Del to the Beach. I loved it and will be back again.

The location is great.Posted Mar 26, 2014
Cons: Front desk should follow up with customers after such an experience as the door lock breaking.
Location: Beach, numerous restaurants, access to Coranado in general
While the location is great, I feel the hotel is over priced. Many rooms experience road noise--traffic started at 7 AM. Construction across the street began at 7. While the hotel cannot control these situations, it can charge less for rooms facing the road. Parking was difficult, with several people needing to park on the street--hope they did not get charged the daily rate of $10 to park. Breakfast had a nice variety of baked goods, cereals, etc---but really nothing more than a Holiday Inn would provide. The door lock on our room stopped working causing an hour of time as the very nice night maintenance person tried entering from an adjoining room-no luck, then had to use a crow bar to take off the sliding door on the balcony to gain access--then he had to dismantle the lock assembly. He was great--knew what to do and did it fast. His attitude was wonderful. All other staff were friendly.

Beautiful hotel with bay viewsPosted Mar 24, 2014
Customer service was amazing! My fiancé and I only stayed one night, but they really make u feel like royalty here. We will definitely be returning. It's right across from all the shops at hotel del and the beautiful beach. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, and because there was some trouble with their computer checking us in we got upgraded to the mansion rooms which was amazing!

Nice little hotel, much different then big chainsPosted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Construction going on starting 8am. Rooms generally don't quiet down the other hotel guests and cleaning personal. Busy laundry room right underneath
Cons: Noise levels
Super nice staff, charming hotel, great location. It is a older hotel, but it's nicely kept up to date. Location is right at the Main Street for shopping and dining. Parking is included in room price You can explore the nice water front and beach within 10-30 minutes walking distance.
