The hotel was wonderful. Very clean and everyone was very nice. The facilities were very comfortable. The hotel is easy to find, a little ways a way from the highway but in return you had a nice secluded stay. Staff was great and friendly. For some reason, I kept losing my room key or kept getting it deactivated but the staff quickly supplied me with new room keys right away.

Beautiful facility and grounds with very attentive staff. Really enjoyed my stay but be prepared for sticker shock for any extras. Even burgers for lunch at the Grill will set you back $20 minimum. $5 extra per day for valet parking is worth it if you come and go a lot. Overall a great hotel.

I stay at the San Vicente Golf resort when I am in the San Diego area doing golf schools for Southern California Golf Schools. San Vicente Golf Resort offers affordable golf and hotel options in a nice small town atmosphere. Cant go wrong with this place.

What a marvellous place to be if you like to play tennis. We had a great time playing on the well-kept courts and also participating in the reasonably priced tennis clinics. The pros were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with full kitchen. I had originally booked a bachelor suite but it turned out not to have a kitchen and, while literally steps from the gorgeous private beach, it wasn't private and was surrounded by people in beach chairs and kids running around. I wouldn't recommend booking these rooms. Had breakfast at the on-site restaurant one morning. Sat on the patio. It was beautiful. Flowers on the table and adjacent to the heated pool. Very tranquil. Even saw a hummingbird drinking from the flower arrangements at other tables. The service was awesome too. We stayed here 3 nights. I would love to go back soon.

"Great Hotel with Easy Access to Multiple Freeways"
We were attending a business function and were needing a hotel within 20 - 30 minutes of El Cajon, CA. I was very disappointed in the options until I found the Carlton Oaks. It turned out to be a great option. The staff was friendly, the room was very generous in size and had recently been updated. The on site restaurant had many options and all the items we ordered where great. The portions were very ample so be prepared to take your time and enjoy. We did not play golf but the course looks great and we plan on playing in the future. There are several areas to sit and enjoy a beverage while watching groups on the course. We are already planning on returning so we can take advantage of the golf and the great pool area.

My family congregated at this lovely hotel, as my son got married in Carlsbad. It was pleasantly out of the way, quiet and rural. We were able to walk around the golf course perimeter. Restaurant was yummy and prices very reasonable. There is a little spa where my sissy and I got our nails done by an awesome lady, Cat. My only suggestion for improvement would be if they keep the lounge open later, otherwise I highly recommend this facility.
