Rudeness

Posted Jul 9, 2014
The hotel started off by charging my credit card for the room the day before so that canceling would be impossible. On top of that the staff was very rude and would even give bad directions to local attractions. It is in a bad neighborhood with homeless people everywhere. And they kept my security deposit . STAY AWAY!!!!!

San Diego on the cheap!

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Good, clean, cheap lodging. Watched the Sea World fireworks from the 3rd floor. Sketchy neighborhood after dark, parking spots ridiculously narrow for cars in 2014. Try the Hancock Street Cafe for breakfast.

Pros: The hotel was close to Sea World and other attractions in San Diego.
Cons: Free Wi-Fi would be nice but it's not included.
If you are looking for something inexpensive and a great location this is the place for you and your family.

MUCH better than what I expected!

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Price, and staff was helpful.
Cons: No wifi charge.
Location: Near SeaWorld and Mission Bay beaches, 15 minutes from UCSD campus, 10 minutes from USD.
I have to admit, many of the most recent (previous to my stay) reviews made me nervous. Adult lounge, dirty bathrooms & sheets, rude staff, etc. That being said, my stay was nothing less than pleasant. The staff (Phillip & Jacob) that I encountered were friendly, helpful, and respectful. The room was clean (no mildew smell, no spotted bedding) and parking was plentiful when I returned to my room about 9:30pm. My only challenge was $4.99 for wifi, with only one device being used at a time. I paid the fee, as I had some business to conduct. The wifi was unable to connect in our room. After several attempts to reset the router, and a visit to our room by an IT person, a new room with working internet was offered. We were tired, so declined a new room, but when I asked if I could come to the lobby the next morning to send a couple of e-mails as a solution to my problem, it was greeted enthusiastically, and the $4.99 was refunded without question. Area was quiet and we rested well, I even noticed a security guard patrolling the parking lot and walking the floors! Just so that you understand why quiet was important -- it was commencement weekend at UCSD, and check out weekend from the dorms. Several UCSD families were at this establishment, and any celebrating was done without interrupting the rest of other guests.

Pros: It was right off the freeway and convenient that way.
The plumbing was very noisy! There was no microwave in the room nor hairdryer. Carpets were dirty they needed to be actually cleaned not vacuumed. And it costs you five bucks a night for Internet service which was very bad. And I couldn't use my cell phone in my room I had to go outside to use it for some reason.

Excellent ubication for going every place.

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Ubication
Cons: Change floor carpets of the rooms.
Location: In a car you access to High ways promptly. Near you have different places for eating.
The carpet of the room is too old, has dirty spots and smells bad.
