Pros: See above
Cons: Would have like directions to get to the hotel, especially the freeway turn-off coming south on the 163. Google maps did not have it correct.
Location: Short drive to Mission Valley and Balboa Park
Everything was great. Delicious breakfast. When we used the pool a towel was on each lounge chair. The new desk clerk in the evening did a terrific job of getting us to your location, as we had taken the wrong exit off the freeway.

No dining room is provided.

Visiting from Australia and we stayed 2 nights. Friendly staff and ok hotel. If you prepare to have breakfast, be aware that there is no dining room. You need to grab your food items and find a place in the lobby. In our case, we had to get the lovely receptionist to unlock the meeting room. A bit odd!

Too soft mattress and lumpy comforter

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet was a real bonus
Cons: Better bed coverings and better quality mattress. Offer mini-refrig
Our stay at this hotel was pleasant but nothing great. The breakfast buffet was a real bonus. The room was clean, but I would have liked a mini refrig. The sad shape of the bed coverings was an immediate turn off. The quilt must have been washed and the batting got lumpy because it was nothing more than white sheet with lumps of batting spread here and there. The mattress was very soft and slightly uncomfortable as a result.

Nice hotel for families

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Very clean, good breakfast, quiet, good location
Cons: Wifi is slow, breakfast area does not have enough tables
Location: Sea World, Balboa Park, Zoo
This is a nice quiet hotel close to many attractions in San Diego (about 15 minutes). Our room was very clean, room service was excellent. The breakfast was very good also, food selection was much better than at some other hotels I stayed in. The breakfast area, however, only had three round tables (always busy) with the rest being smaller coffee tables. Definitely not enough in the summer when a lot families with kids are staying in the hotel. Also, wifi was rather slow, around 1 Mbps download speed, haven't seen such a slow connection in a hotel for a while. Overall, good experience.

As advertised! Good Location!

My wife, son, and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were not disappointed. Great location, near stores, restaurants, etc. Sea world and beaches are not far just a few mins drive. Breakfast was good, but if you want a seat you need to wake up early or you can take your food to your room. Recommended.

Good Location

Rooms were neat and clean. Great spot for all attractions if you have a car, like we did. The only down side was the breakfast arrangements. Breakfast staff were a little rude and I would recommend you don't eat the scrambled eggs as they are powdered/fake egg. Whole breakfast set-up was farcical and felt disorganised and cluttered. Other than that it was a fine hotel.

Satisfactory

We had just stayed in a Hyatt in NY so, in fairness, perhaps I am too critical of this hotel. This hotel was ok but not one that made you want to stay longer than necessary in the room. Breakfast was ok. Again, nothing to write home about. Convenient, quiet with good freeway access.
