“Perfect hotel for everyone”

I really enjoyed my stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I even extended my stay. It is in a perfect location. Really close to the beach and cute little shops. I plan on returning to the area again and I will stay again.

“I would stay here again.”

This hotel was perfect for spending a few days visiting my son who is at Camp Pendleton. It was clean, comfortable, with a microwave and refrigerator, and walking distance to the harbor and beach. The owner was friendly and promptly took care of anything we needed.

“Oceanside 2012”

I have stayed here in the past when the hotel was under different owners. The new owners have made some renovations that make this a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. It is in a great location...close to the harbor and easy access to I5 to venture out to LA or San Diego!

“Not bad... loved the shower.”

Front desk person didn't seem too friendly, but overall things were ok. Room was comfortable and shower was nice. Fit our needs for the night.

“If you need close proximity to Camp Pendleton”

If you are looking for a hotel close in proximity to the Camp Pendleton, this is about as close as you can get. My son was returning from Afghanistan and the arrival time was in the middle of the night. Unfortunately the refrigerator in the room vibrated which kept my daughter awake. It didn't bother me. The road noise was loud but we turned on the air conditioner and didn't hear the noise. We could also hear the upstairs neighbor walking all night. Definitely ask for an upstairs room. The staff was cooperative. The hair dryer didn't work in our room and a replacement was hand delivered in less than 10 minutes. The continental breakfast was disappointing in that there were limited choices and none of those were quality foods. We opted to eat in a restaurant. I would return due to a great price on Expedia and I would know to bring ear plugs and budget for breakfast out.

“Freeway noise”

Clean. No bed bugs or flea bites. Couldn't sleep due to the freeway noise.

“The Closest to Camp entry”

Staff was friendly and helpful Room was spotless clean. However, condition of room was disappointing. They are doing some remodeling, so I have hopes this will be dealt with in the future.

“Didn't see this coming!”

This was terrible. The room was adjacent to a garbage/waste room that reeked. The close by highway traffic lasted throughout the night and prevented any sleep. Breakfast wasn't clean enough to try, and offered very little. Also the coffee pot hadn't seen a cleaning in years. Last thing was that although check ws at 11:00, the maid was upset when she couldn't get into our room at "10:00". Next thingh we knew, the front desk called to remind us that check out was at 11:00. Very unprofessional, to say the least. Maybe worth, 1/2 of what we paid. Yes, thei review is honest and accurate. False, misleading, got uson tnhis stay.

“Needs a little TLC!”

The hotel is old, we had hoped for an ocean view, however another hotel was built in front of it so no ocean view. We were told we would have a breakfast, they had a cereal, an Apple, and if you looked around hoping you might have missed something they offered a sweet roll in a package behind the counter. So seriously you should not advertise a breakfast. Just say coffee. Oh and its right next to the freeway, very loud.

“The price we paid was not worth what we got.”

Although the room was clean, we could hear the guests walking around upstairs and there was noise all around. I believe we paid more than what the room was worth. The hotel needs an upgrade and the grounds around leave much to be desired.
