“Good place for a reasonable price.”

This hotel is not The Ritz. It is clean, comfortable, parking, excellent staff, and convenient to the airport. AND the price is reasonable.

“Great location/price/experience”

Spectacular. Must have been recently remodeled. Truly a steal at the price. Could have paid twice as much and would have been satisfied. Beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed, great location! LOVED IT!

“Would enjoy staying again”

Because of prior reviews I was initially hesitant to book, but liked the location and free parking, so I decided to risk it. Check-in went smoothly and reception was warm and helpful. The room was very clean, including carpet and bathroom. Good pressure in the shower. The two windows in my room made the room very cheerful. Nice big TV, new refridgerator and microwave, there was also hair dryer and free Wifi hookup. The hotel does not have an ice maker, but I was able to chill my drinks efficiently in the new refridgerator. Out on the sidewalk you get a nice view of San Diego Bay as you walk to Little Itay for dinner. Easy access to the freeway. I left something behind and the staff was kind enough to hold it for me until I could retrieve it. Stayed two nights and I would enjoy staying again. Good value.

“Very good quality clean convenient and economical.”

This is a very nice place for the money close to walk to Little Italy and Harbor area. It seems to be newly refurbished with granite in the rooms. Rooms are economical in size but good in quality very clean. Great value for the rate. I arrived by bike from train so front desk was nice set me up on 1st floor. Seems like earlier not so positive reviews must have been before this place was recently refurbished I'm writing in March 2010. I've rated considering the price hey it's not the Hilton but I never wished to pay Hilton price so I found nicely what I wanted.

“Small but cozy”

Perfect for a short stay. I got the smallest, cheapest room. If i needed space I would have been in trouble. No closet, just a rack with one hanger. Huge flat panel tv. Great bed.

“GREAT VALUE,GREAT LOCATION,CLEAN ROOM,FRIENDLY MANAGEMENT !”

I LUCKED OUT PICKING THIS GEM, of a hotel. It is an extremely economical high value of a hotel. It doesn't have all the frills and flash of its $150+ a night counterparts, but it is great if you're on a budget like me. My room(and the building itself) is a bit older. BUT, my room was spotless, and had been extremely well maintained over the years. I stayed here two nights and would have stayed longer if I needed to. I had lengthy conversations with both the husband and wife who own this place, and they are very nice people. You couldn't be in better hands. I've stayed in lots of hotels over the years and THIS WAS THE BEST VALUE ANYWHERE I HAVE EVER STAYED BY FAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Best Economy Hotel near Harbor”

Loved it so much that I stayed an extra night! Spacious and clean, liked the fact that the room had a little lounge with a comfy couch and flat screen TV. Price is fair given the great location, just a couple of blocks away from the harbor which was nice for an early morning run. Def recommend it.

“Awesome hotel for the price!”

As always, the reviews were mixed and I was nervous about staying. I got stuck in San Diego because of a snowstorm back east and had to change hotels because the one I had been in was booked. I needed something inexpensive and in a good location. This hotel was a perfect fit! I stayed in room 401. Had a view of the Harbor from my window in the distance. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean with good water pressure, and the TV was quite nice. There's an elevator (it's small, I warn you, but works just fine). The room was clean but the air a little stale - this improved with turning on the AC for a short period and circulating the air. Like someone else mentioned, the water sometimes runs in the pipes overnight - just close the bathroom door and you'll be fine. It's an older building in general so you just have to keep that in mind. Breakfast is free but unimpressive - the area restaurants have a great selection though. It's SUPER close to great restaurants in Little Italy and a short walk all over town. For the cost of 1 night in my other hotel, I stayed here for 3 nights. No complaints here! Would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget who wants a nice comfortable place to rest your head at night.
