2015 Esri UC Conference StayPosted Jul 28, 2015
The staff were great, awesome facilities, convention ctr access was easy. Loved that I could borrow a Fender Stratocaster to play in my room. Gas Lamp district immediately outside (great selection of food choices in any direction).

such a cool vibe at this hotel. Not recommended if you dont like alot of action going on. It's what makes it fun. You never have to leave to party anywhere but at your own hotel.

Great LocationPosted Jul 25, 2015
Very clean. My room unfortunately was near the elevators so we heard all the noise from other guests going and coming all night. The only issue with the room was the shower design. Water build up on floor area outside shower was annoying. Hotel staff was great. You sleeping were nice but sometimes didn't seem to realize there were two people in the room, leaving only enough soap, towels for one person.

Downtown San Diego in the Gaslight DistrictPosted Jul 23, 2015
Cons: The ledge in the shower is not tall enough to keep the water in the shower area.
Location: If you don't drink and party at night there is nothing close by to entertain family.
We had a hard time finding it from the freeway. It is all the way thru town and down by the convention center. The street signs are only on one corner and J Street is very narrow. One has to go around the block to be by the parking for the motel.

Great location for nightlife and access to trolleyPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Quiet room, very comfortable bed. Great location at the beginning of Gaslamp District.
Cons: Pool should have longer hours (closes at 8). No bathroom by the workout facility, and the water jug was empty.
Location: Right at the very beginning of the Gaslamp District. Tons of restaurants, all of them very good. Very close to trolley so travel was easy.
Started off nicely with being able to check in a couple hours early. We were offered the option of not having maid service each day, which we decided sounded good. While I thought it was a great option to offer, it does seem like our room should have gotten some kind of discount for that. Regardless the staff was friendly and helpful, and the lobby always smelled really great. Our room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Shower was awesome.

Great stay! Would stay again.Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Modern decor, music memorabilia, music in room, location. Bathroom shower was great.
Cons: Coffee in room or supply coffee maker on request. Pillows were horribly soft, make available a range of pillow quality.
Location: Excellent location for exploring San Diego as above. Free bicycles at hotel, enjoy !
Great location right in Gaslamp and next to public transport, easy walk (or ride the free hotel bicycles) to waterfront, Seaport, downtown. Easy to put cycles on buses in SD too. We were offered a suite upgrade on extra payment which we took advantage of and it was worth the space and views. Didn't try the pool. No coffee in room, no coffee maker available, only options are order room service coffee or (in mornings) go down to cafe and get free coffee. I like "in room" coffee so disappointing. MaryJanes cafe was really very average food and very expensive, eat out in the Gaslamp I suppose but also expensive. Reception was understaffed and queues every time but it was the evening that ComicCon finished so maybe that was the problem. Staff were pleasant. Would return again for location.

Hotel wonderful but parking expensivePosted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Room amenities, general comfort level.
Cons: The TV onscreen channel control is outdated. First world problems, I know.
Location: This hotel is right at the "start" of the Gaslamp - restaurants and galleries galore.
I really enjoyed my stay. The room was fabulously comfortable and the location cannot be beat. I wish the parking was less than $90 a day, however!
