Great hotel in the heart of Gaslamp

Great experience just wish they would have told us that the pool was closed for a private event. Our plan for the day was lounge by the pool and that got messed up. Everything else was great.

Great location, right in the heart of Gaslamp.

Amazing location. Right in the heart of the gaslamp quarter. Metro stop just across the road and a 5 minute walk to seaport village. Great staff and facilities too. Definitely recommend

Nice hotel, very loud

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Really loud party at the hotel when i checked in. Business travelers may want to look elsewhere first. If a loud party is your thing, then you'll like this property.

Great stay

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: I loved the rooftop lounge, I liked that it's in the Gaslamp Disrict.
Cons: I did not like that you have to pay for parking. At the rate I payed I would have hoped that parking was included. It was a nice splurge for my bday.
Location: The Gaslamp District. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hard Rock. I was hoping that I could have stayed longer. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and clean. Bed was really comfortable. It was in the middle of Gaslamp District.

Great hotel right in the heart of GasLamp Dist.

We had never been to San Diego and wanted to visit while visiting a local college. 3 generations stayed this weekend and this hotel was fun for all 3 of us. It had the energy and young vibe for my freshman in college. The lobby smelled great, the staff was exceptionally helpful, and our room was big, clean and had a great view for me. My mom had a great time looking at all the rock and roll memorabilia and even took selfies on her phone with a picture of Elvis and the Rolling Stones. We also were impressed with the spa. We walked to dinner and shopping on 5th. It is across the street from the convention center and you can hear the Padres fans cheering if they are in town if you step out on your balcony. This hotel definitely was a great pick.

Awesome experience. Room had a view of the pool party Intervention. Although, quite loud was also quite entertaining and ended at a decent time. Room was clean and you can't beat the rainfall shower.

Over priced over rated

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Valet parking staff was no where to be found went around in circles, found parking across the street. Hotel rate was $40 ...no microwave to warm up my toddlers milk, and room service won't do it either, there's a ridiculous charge for everything, a mini fridge w alcohol galore no space for your own drinks, rooms are extremely small, bathrooms were dirty, pool furniture discusting and filthy...jacuzzi water had dirt in it, a box with candy knowing you are traveling w kids $4 each, $10 for a water bottle....

Convenient to Gaslamp District and Petco Park.

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Convenient to Downtown.
Cons: Higher beds.
Location: Near the Gaslamp District and Petco Park. Close to the trolley stop to go to Old Town and Little Italy.
Hard Rock Hotel was nice. It is within walking distance to most everything downtown. The bed was comfortable, although it was a little lower than most hotel beds. Mary Jane's was good for breakfast. The staff was very friendly.

Close to convension center

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Nice room design with lots of floor space.
Cons: Clean the carpets. HDMI external port on the cabinet didn't work.
My wife and I came for a conference at the convention center, which was really close. We were on the 3 floor right across from the gym and spa. The room was nice. However, every morning at 6ish we woke to a thump that vibrated through the room once every 5-15 minutes at random and then randomly throughout the day and evening. We called the front desk and told them about the noise, and they told us that there was nothing they could do. The stair case was right next to the room, and you could hear people going up and down the stair, it was loud when you hear the high heel. The prices of the items of mini bar were outrageous. Sunday afternoon and night was crazy with intoxicated college age partiers. The televisions were nice, but the menus and changing channels were so slow; it would take 10-15 seconds after you push a button for it to respond. The HDMI port on the cabinet did not work. For the price we paid, I was expecting something much better.
