Noisy room.

Pros: Most of the staff.
Cons: Noise from loud rooftop fan
Staff was excellent, but would have liked to see or hear some kind of concern from management on the issue I had. I was on the top floor in room 414 and on my first nights' stay there was a fairly loud and continuous rumble coming from what I thought was a bad bathroom fan. It was annoying even when I had the TV on to give a perspective on just how loud. I waited a bit thinking it might have been on an automatic timer or something, but it didn't subside. I contacted the front desk and they sent up their maintenance person who promptly told me it wasn't the bathroom fan but some big fan on the roof of the building and that he didn't think there was anything he could do. I did hear someone on the roof following that, and it was shut down for a while but it started up again. It, pretty much ruined that nights sleep, I received no further contact from the hotel or offer to move etc., so my solution was to buy ear plugs for the following night's stay given I'm very uncomfortable with complaining. The maintenance man said no-one else had complained but I would be very surprised if that was the case, I could still hear it after I had the ear plugs in, it was just not as obtrusive. As I mentioned above, very dissapointed with the lack of follow up, and if the hotel considers that level of noise as "acceptable" I think there's a big problem, at least for anyone staying in that room.

Overall a good hotel and we enjoyed the jacuzzi outside and the swimming pool. Convenient location to UC San Diego and Mission Bay area.

A standard Hilton, not mcu around.

This hotel is a relatively new Hilton, so it fits the norm of such places, and there is nothing much to say about that. The location is in an area where there is not much around, apart from apartment developments. The address on Ocean Bluff Ave - there is no Ocean or Bluff nearby. It is relatively handy to UCSD and other sites north of San Diego, but you would need to drive to get to those. However, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, the parking and internet were free, and the outdoor pool (heated) and hot-tub were well maintained. The bar closed before 10PM...

I found that all staff was very accomodating and friendly. Most courteous and helpfull. Room was quiet. Hotel was located exactly where it should be for our intended use.

Excellent mid-sized hotel - quiet neighborhood

This is an excellent hotel with easy parking in a nice neighborhood just a few blocks from I-5 and from highway 56. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very friendly, competent staff. Exceptional breakfast at a reasonable flat rate. We didn't have dinner there, but the bar service was excellent. Reasonable room rates for this quality. We enjoyed a room with a private patio deck at a small added fee. In short, if this is the general location you are looking for, don't stay anywhere else.

My reservation promised some amenities that I found out weren't even offered by the hotel when I arrived, but jamie at the front desk totally made everything right, looked into the issue, and handled it professionally. We left happy.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, with a comfortable bed, microwave, refrigerator etc. The breakfast was very nice and the price was reasonable. We would definitely stay there again.
