Business meeting

Pros: It was were the business meeting was held
Cons: Stop the fees for internet service - honestly! Also, $25 per day to park in the empty garage seemed beyond ridiculous.
This hotel is pretty dated and the rooms could use an update - tho the bathroom was nice. The fees that is charges for parking and internet service are ridiculous! The hotel restaurant served the most flavorless food that I have ever encountered.

Snobby, rude staff...boring!

We arrived after spending 5 days at the Hilton Bayfront in the gas lamp district and what a difference 20 miles makes. We were asked if we would like two double beds instead of one king and we said yes. We got to our room and the tiny balcony was facing a wall, smelled of garbage, and looked down to storage for the hotel. We called and asked to be moved and they said the hotel was booked ( 10 minutes later???) . I asked for any other room and was told we accepted the room ( it was the handicap room) and that there were no other options. As day turned to night and only seeing approx 30 people in 5 hours and also there were no lights on in many of the rooms, I knew they weren't being honest about being at capacity. We sat outside for an evening snack (9 pm) and waited 20 minutes for a glass of wine and an additional 20 for a salad. Horrible service. The atmosphere was boring and stuffy. If you're looking for quiet, golf, bad service and rude staff, this place is for you. We stay at hilton locations all the time and this was a disappointment.

Relaxing place

Pros: I like the view
Cons: The Clam Chowder that we ordered was not as good as the other cafe in town.
Location: We went to the downtown and enjoy the afternoon there with some birds and swimmers.
It was a wonderful experience here. I like the view and location, which is quiet and nice.

Cons: Steaks were small!!!
Very nice!!! However, the steak in the restaurant and room service was small.

Decent hotel in a nice area.

Enjoyed the stay overall. The bar had pleasant staff and good food. The room was nice, though a tad bit overpriced for the quality.

Overall a nice hotel and staff

Cons: Parking not free. Room air circulation wasn't good. Rooms were renovated but still outdated in colors/design, not homely. Wifi was not free.
Location: Visit La Jolla Village (general supplies/Whole Foods Market), La Jolla Cove (great views/restaurants), eat at Snooze (excellent breakfast).
Stayed there over the 4th of July weekend. Nice that they have a fridge available. Staff was awesome. The pool and other outdoor amenities were nice. Parking is not free unless you park on the street across the street from the hotel.
