“It's all the add-ons $$$$”

It's just an ok hotel. A little worn around the edges. Bedding and room was clean and comfortable. Parking was something like $17 a day or $23 with valet. Internet had a charge, too, so although the daily rate was pretty good, when you add in all the extras there are a number of better options in the area for a lower total cost. To top it off, in the morning at 7AM I found a note under my door from the hotel saying that the power would be off starting at 9AM. What if I had planned to sleep in??? I would have had no alarm clock, no phone, no lights, etc. And, it turns out that they knew for several weeks in advance that the power would be off that day but nobody said anything to me at checkin. I actually left by 9AM so it didn't turn out to be a problem for me, but with this on top of the "extras", I didn't leave with a very good impression of this Hilton hotel.

“love this hotel and will make a new yeras reservation”

from-1-10 I give it a 9 check in is fast but the longe is slow always had to look for the bartender.this wood not stop me and my wife from staying at thie holtel.my wife and i were marrard on the 31fs of oct,so we had a grate time.

“Disappointed”

I usually stay at Hilton hotels but have never stayed at a Hilton where I felt they charged you to breath! They held a large fee per night on your card in case you decide to use any of the amenities...even if you tell them you aren't going to use them. They charge you an outrageous amount to park. I spent too much to park for only 2 hours! They do not have a continental breakfast. If you want breakfast you have to buy breakfast at their hotel restaurant. Their keys never stayed activated. I used about seven keys the 3 nights I stayed. And for a hotel that charges you for everything they allow pets!!! I was shocked! We heard a dog barking at 5 a.m.!!!! On the positive the staff was very friendly and wanted to help at all times. But I wont ever go back.

“Friendly But Aging”

Professional and friendly staff in all categories. My guest bathroom needed to be renovated...tiles cracked, messy caulk patches, flimsy toilet. Pillows have lost their spring, room doors show light or won't stay. Lobby and facilities looked nice, although I didn't try any. Hotel conveniently located near major interstates and a few reasonably priced restaurants. Expedia did not mention that parking was extra. Rated stay above average because of the staff.

“Great customer service, everyone was friendly and helpful!”

We went to hit up all the major attractions, and this was a perfect location for just this. LegoLand, Zoo, Safari Park, Sea World, and beaches were all 20 minutes away, making it a great central location. The downtown Bel Mar area, which is a 5 minute drive from the hotel, had wonderful restaurants and on the shoreline. Kids loved swimming in the very clean pool after a day at the amusement parks, and parents loved having a drink in the hot tub! Continental breakfast had a little bit of everything, and having free water and soda available 24hrs was a nice perk. If your not looking for a beachfront hotel, I highly recommend this one!

“Great location for our needs.”

We have family in the Solana Beach/Del Mar area, and have stayed at a few properties near Hwy 101. This property was everything the reviews said it would be. No surprises, and who could ask for anything more when you're traveling? The only issue we had, and it's a minute one, was that the maid kept setting the thermostat to 65 degrees. Since San Diego was foggy the whole time we were there, coming back to a 65-degree room was a chilling experience!

“Looking forward to coming back”

Perfect location for visiting Del Mar race track. The shuttle is so convenient and it will even take you to local restaurants. No driving! Great pina colada by the wonderful pool. Loved it!

“Great Hotel, Great Location”

We had a great 4 days here. It's so close to Del Mar race track and the beaches. The staff was great. The pool and spa is quite nice too. 5 stars!!!

“Next to some Fair goodness!”

My girlfriend went to see a concert at the fair and got a good rate at this hotel, it is right across the street from the fairgrounds. Parking is pricey, but since its so close you don't need to move the car, we had a great time at this hotel. our rate came with a breakfast buffet, which was very good. The pool area and bar were nice and cozy--- had a wonderful weekend and a blast a the Melissa Etheridge concert, thanks Expedia and thanks Hilton!
