This was a very nice hotel close to the beach and entertainment. Large clean rooms. Went for a weekend getaway and this hotel made it enjoyable.

“Very Nice Hotel; Adjacent to Del Mar Fairgrounds”

Hotel was clean. Room was spacious - plenty for four people in two queen beds. Sunday brunch was a good value. Great locaiton for the Del Mar Fairgrounds - 10 minutes walking distance to entrance. Staff was helful. Extra towels were delivered promptly. We didn't use the pool but could see it from our room and it looked very nice.

“Always enjoy our stay”

We always enjoy staying at this Hotel. It is close to our favorite restaurant, The Fish Market, the beach and shopping. It is very comfortable. The only complaint is having to pay for parking, which has always been free until this recent visit.

“Great location”

My husband and I go to Del Mar fairgrounds every year for horseracing, this is our second year staying at the Hilton. If you plan on going to the fairgrounds, it is a great location, as they have a shuttle service. They will also take you to shopping and dining within 5 miles. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We like to stay in the poolside rooms with the balcony. I'm sure we will be back next year.

“Great location for our needs.”

We have family in the Solana Beach/Del Mar area, and have stayed at a few properties near Hwy 101. This property was everything the reviews said it would be. No surprises, and who could ask for anything more when you're traveling? The only issue we had, and it's a minute one, was that the maid kept setting the thermostat to 65 degrees. Since San Diego was foggy the whole time we were there, coming back to a 65-degree room was a chilling experience!

We went to hit up all the major attractions, and this was a perfect location for just this. LegoLand, Zoo, Safari Park, Sea World, and beaches were all 20 minutes away, making it a great central location. The downtown Bel Mar area, which is a 5 minute drive from the hotel, had wonderful restaurants and on the shoreline. Kids loved swimming in the very clean pool after a day at the amusement parks, and parents loved having a drink in the hot tub! Continental breakfast had a little bit of everything, and having free water and soda available 24hrs was a nice perk. If your not looking for a beachfront hotel, I highly recommend this one!

When I travel down to this area again, this will be the Hotel I'll stay in. Excellent accomidations. Highly recommended!

“Excellent Hotel”

We stayed in a very large room with a king size bed. The bathroom was very large. We stayed in an outside room but would recommend that you try the inside room which faces the pool/garden area. This hotel is close to the freeway and is across the street from the Del Mar racetracks. Service was great and rooms very comfortable and spacious. Highly recommended and will stay here again.
