Great experience for the first time at Hilton. Comfortable and clean room! Everything was great except that they charged for parking continental breakfast, and water bottles in the room. Too expensive esp. If your traveling with children. Also, cartoon channels were missing. Not worth the price of the room.

Second stay there; I find it a bit pricey for what you get but the people I go to visit live nearby so the convenience of the location is worth it to me.

Okay for weekend gateaway

Pros: I like the location, lobby style and bed of this hotel.
Cons: Noisy air condition. Long check-in time. Expensive parking fee.
Location: 20 mins from San Diego and Carlsbad. Nearby beaches.
My boyfriend and I arrived this hotel on a Saturday late afternoon, check-in time was over 20 mins. The staff did not explain what was going on until I asked. She said the system showed the room was ready but the room service said it was not cleaned. We kept on waiting, watching her doing things on her computer and walky talky. The customers came in later were being served by other staffs and they got their room keys. We were a bit disappointed and asked again, she replied the same thing. We didn't get to the room 30 mins after arriving the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I could hear another room's bathroom vent. The worse was my room's air conditioning was so loud that the noise woke me up in the middle of the night. I tried to get back to sleep, but everytime it kicked in would wake me up. Overall, it is not a bad hotel, but improvement is needed.

Very Convient to Del Mar Fairgrounds

Pros: Clean room and comfy bed. Had a coffee maker.
My stay was only one night so it was OK. The room next to me had a couple of big barking dogs that barked off and on from when I checked in at 8 pm to 9:30 pm. After that I did not hear a peep. The room was nice and clean and had a coffee maker for the morning. Comfy bed and pillows. I would rate it a 4 but they gave me a handicapped room I think so it was a shower that a wheelchair could get in..which is nice except the floor was totally flooded after my shower. I hated to use all the clean towels to wipe it up but did not want to stand in water to get ready in front of the mirror. It was very convient to the Del Mar fairgrounds where I was working a trade show. I would probably stay there again but would ask to see if there was a floor where there are no dogs before hand.

Good customer service always offers an upgrade. I feel like we could have been upgraded to a room with a patio. When booking on Expedia, it said a "pool view" which I expected to have a patio. otherwise the service was as expected for a Hilton. Staff was very kind. Room was clean and exceptionally comfortable. Great location in Del Mar. Close to everything that you need. The $18 parking fee seems a little steep.

Loved it! Wonderful staff and gorgeous setting! I would highly recommend this hotel. I will be back for sure! Dog friendly as well. They even had bones by the entrance. Super clean too! I know sometimes dog friendly hotels can be yucky. You would never know by how clean and great it was!
