The 18-acre Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa is situated in the Mission Bay Aquatic Park, within three miles of SeaWorld and Old Town San Diego. Built in 1962 and renovated in 2011, the resort features a nearby private beach and a range of recreational facilities. Besides an outdoor lagoon-style swimming pool, four spa tubs, and a children's wading pool, guests can also enjoy five lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, and two putting greens (surcharge). Boat and watercraft rentals are also available from the resort’s full service marina.

The resort's 7,500-square-foot Spa Brezza has undergone a $5 million renovation, and includes nine treatment rooms and a fitness center. The spa also offers a retail boutique; a hair and nail salon; men's and women's locker rooms; an indoor/outdoor meditation and relaxation lounge; beachfront and al fresco services; and a private rooftop sundeck. Spa services include massages; facials; and nail, hand, and foot care. Children's services are available as well. (Advanced reservations for services are recommended.)

Children can make new friends at the kids' club where they’ll enjoy organized activities designed especially for kids, or find fun in the video-game room. A restaurant, Acqua, offers al fresco dining, and adults can relax with a cocktail by the fire at The Olive bar. A seasonal poolside bar and coffeehouse are also on site. A business center is open 24 hours a day and wireless Internet access is available in public areas for a surcharge.
