Time for a renovation

Pros: Location, location, location! And the ducks! :)
Cons: Renovation needed.
This is our 4th visit here. Originally, we were put in a room that smelled of damp and faced a fence and a road. We changed rooms and were downgraded from a suite to a regular room (but had already paid for the suite) but at least we had the view we requested. The hotel is nice, but 1) the place needs a bit of a facelift - tear in the curtain, wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom - little things like that; and 2) they need to increase their staff. Everyone was very nice, but they were definitely understaffed, which caused delays in food & beverage service, in particular.

Amazing Hotel

Pros: Staff, staff, staff! and rooms clean and comfortable
Cons: Cost of Buffet breakfast..not quite worth $25.00
Location: US Midway, retire aircraft carrier.
Great hotel, location and on the beach..next to huge City park, Bay and more beach. Close to many restaraunts, highway, airport. Would stay here again . Staff and amenities are excellent. Buffet breakfast was expensive $25.00! Rooms comfortable, clean.

Beautiful pool, quiet location

Excellent housekeeping and janitorial staff - everything here from the guest rooms to the pool area was kept super clean at all times. Pool area is spacious and the fire pits with seating areas are a nice touch for people who want to hang out at the pool without swimming. All staff were friendly and helpful. Location is quiet, and we were able to watch SeaWorld's fireworks from our balcony. Our only dislike was the lack of dining choices on-site. Acqua and its adjoining lounge are way overpriced for small portions of food that was not really all that special. This was not a big deal to us though, as we spent plenty of time off-site and just ate our meals elsewhere. We had a villa with a bay view and would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others. Regular prices are maybe a bit on the high side, but if you are booking a flight and receive the hotel discounts (as we did) the price is quite reasonable.

The hotel is greatly located at Mission Bay with easy access to nearby tourist areas. It has a great pool. We arrived at 3PM and they told us our room was not ready and they would call us. 2 hours later, I checked back as they had not called us and they told us the room was ready. The rooms are Ok but not very clean. Twice on our visit they came after 4PM for room service. The front desk staff failed to give me a parking pass and they nearly towed my car away. We visited the restaurant and several of the items we requested of the menu were not available and the food was otherwise tasting only OK.

Nice but weary of the fees adding up.

Pros: Fireplaces, pool is heated well, great tennis courts, staff seem to really care. Cons: Pricing structure and fees. When I bought a coffee the team member circle the tip section. We were worried about using the soap in the bathroom because we did not know if there would be more charges. They charge $100 per day 'deposit'. Bike rental is $36 per person. I think I might of liked a higher end hotel. Was worried about parking and towing. All in all, I had a hard time relaxing. On the last day my room key did not work before check out.

Would definately stay again

Location was close to everything but in a nice quiet location. I was in crutches so had the handicapped room, the bathroom door was awkward. Loved the hot tub and restaraunt was delicious!
