“Clean and comfortable...”

I have now stayed at this hotel while visiting family members in Escondido and both times my experiences have been very good. The rooms are on the small side, but they are VERY clean and comfortable. What I find amazing is that, while this hotel is right off the 15 freeway, I could not hear any traffic noise. I found this to be very refreshing! I would recommend and stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Escondido/Wild Animal Park again.

“Good Location”

We were in town for a wedding at a local winery. This location was very close to where we were going and accessible to the freeway. The hotel sits in a parking lot with a few fast food restaurants and across the street from other restaurants, so the location is great. We did go to the Wild Animal Park which is about 10 minutes away. The breakfast buffet was okay. It was very crowded but the food was refilled up until the time it closed. We did go to the pool, which was pleasant. This hotel was exactly what we needed it to be...good location, clean rooms, nice amenities.

“Adjoining rooms when asked for should be confirmed”

Staff was friendly and apologetic. Said they have problems with Expedia making promises and not letting them know. If you are going to request adjoining rooms, contact and reserve with the hotel directly. That is what I learned. Don't take their word, if it is important. Especially when traveling with minors.

Great hotel and ideally located for San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park. Clean and spacious room with all amenities. Surrounding area very convenient for restaurants and shopping.

Very nice hotel perfect for a vacation to SDZ and LL. Also it's close to the ocean and beaches.

Clean and lovely room. Thought it was great that they concentrated on the making the bedding and pillows very comfortable, almost like a luxury hotel.

“Best Deal for the Price”

I picked this hotel because my girlfriend and I were going to Wild Animal Park the next day. The price was right and the location was right, about a 5 minute drive to the park. My expectations weren't high, but they were certainly exceeded. A very friendly and helpful woman checked us in. Our room was clean, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. It wasn't huge, but I've been in smaller. The elevator does rattle a bit on its way up or down, so take the stairs if you're nervous about such things. The breakfast was terrific. No make-your-own-waffles when we were there, but I didn't mind because there were really good cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and more. The morning staff was really friendly as well. Great for the price.

“Home away from home!”

We traveled 600 miles from Utah to meet with family. The two-room suite was perfect for our 5 night stay and accommodated a family meeting with the help of guest services providing extra chairs for us. Apart from a hiccup with our room keys half way through our visit, we were VERY pleased!
