“Comic-Con 2011”

It was a bit of a drive to the convention center, but it was worth saving close to $200 a night. It only took about 20 minutes to get to the convention center from the hotel. It was new, clean, and the staff was VERY friendly. It had free Wi-fi, and the breakfast was great, especially for free. The breakfast had a neat pancake machine, eggs, sausage or ham, cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, English muffins, etc.. Other than the hallways being humid, and hot I have no other complaints. I would definitely stay there again next year.

“Great Breakfast!”

This hotel is close to Mexico, but not to San Diego. The breakfast is great, the room was very clean, and the pool/hot tub was wonderful!

“comfortable stay”

Very comfortable, sort of weird location tucked way back in the corner of a very large industial park. Good breakfast for what it was...No problems at all.

“The best breakfast”

This hotel is located 10 minutes from were we were having a meeting, so we dont care its in the middle of nowhere. The room is excellent, with a very comfortable bed and nice towels. The included breakfast is the best we have had (in a hotel with breakfast included): eggs, yogurt, pancakes, cream cheese, etc, etc.

Area recommendations

I thing this is a bussines traveler hotel but there are some shopping malls a few miles away.

Getting there

Be carefull if you get the directions from Yah.. or Goog.. maps because they miss a street and you can get lost. Try checking on a map to make sure you get the right directions.

“Horrible staying!”

Horrible experience! We requested in our reservation a non-smoking room, and the hotel did not give us a non-smoking room, since it was "full". We did not have a choice, so we stayed in the smoking room with a very unpleasent smell all night. Towels, beds, everything in the room was with a very bad smell.

“A great Saturday night stay”

We had a good time. Rooms were clean and well kept. They even have a safe in the room. Breakfast was great with lots of options. The exercise room was good, I wish they had some weight but it was good. The pool was very clean. Overall we had a great experience with our three daughters . . . The only challenge was the location of the hotel it took me 20 minutes to find it, it may have been the fault of Mapquest for giving me wrong directions . . .

Area recommendations

There is not much to see around, cross to Mexico to see interesting things . . .

“Very relaxing trip”

I went with my spouse, my 9 and 15 yr daughters and had an experience. read all other reviews

Outdoors or beach

on our trip, the outside temp was around 68 degrees and in august. Foggy weather first few hours of the morning. The ocean was very cold with this ambient temp and we did not get to swim.. lots of jelly fish washing ashore. beautiful scenery. Make sure to bring a light sweater or jacket and sunscreen. the sun will still get you, in cloudy weather. I learned from my experience.
