“Great Hotel!”

Excellent hotel! Especially for the money! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here again! Loved it!

“wind and sea”

We have now stayed at this Hotel 3 times and it is always very clean the staff is friendly . The breakfast items are very sufficent. and the location is great you can walk to wind and sea beach in less than 5 minutes. We go to San Diego twice a year and always stayed at La Jolla Shores that is now our second choice if Holiday Inn Express is not available. our trips to San Diego are not about staying in a fancy resort ( if we want that we stay home and go to any of the luxurious properties in Las Vegas sorry for the cheap plug) they are about being outside you are also very close to lots of restuants in la jolla and oceanside mission bay

“A gem, close to the sea and not too far from San Diego”

This was quite a nice surprise. Expecting a standard cookie-cutter Holiday Inn Express, and staying at a semi-resort type hotel in stead. Our room was by the pool, which is beautifully landscaped. The room itself had all the modern amenities expected and was nicely decorated. Very comfy beds (6 pillows each!). Breakfast was OK, a bit limited in choices but good quality & service.

A very good hotel for people on a tight budget. The location is very good. Kids loved the B'fast.

“Great Stay in La Jolla!!!”

During check in the staff was extremely warm and friendly. The room was clean and looked recently updated. Although the room was a bit small for the furniture, it felt comfortable. The bathroom and shower were recently redone and looked good. We didn't expect to spend much time in the room so it fit our needs extremely well. The breakfast bar was best on Sunday, but every day there was always something good to eat beyond the normal "Continental" Breakfast. The pool looked good, though the beach was only a few blocks away. GREAT location. Downtown La Jolla, where all of the shops were located was only about a mile or two away. Easy enough drive down the coastline to find a beach.

“Great for the money!!!”

The Holiday Inn Express is a 20 minute drive from wherever you'd like to visit in San Diego! And swanky La Jolla is just a few minutes down the road. Clean, comfortable rooms at a great price in a great location...you can't beat it! The breakfast kind of leaves something to be desired...but what do you expect for free? Overall, we were very happy staying here and would probably stay here in the future!

Excellent hot complimentary breakfast; clean and comfortable rooms, walking distance to the beach; can access internet for free from hotel's computer in the lobby. Free parking. Friendly and accommodating staff.

“A Fab Hotel”

The hotel room was nice and clean and quiet. And the bed was really comfortable to sleep in and the maid service was really excellent. In the morning the continental breakfast was very good and filling. The pool was well kept and it was so delightful to swim in the pool and relax and enjoy life. Susan in the front office was most agreeable and helpful. There was complimentary parking other hotels charge for this service. We enjoyed our stay and we would like to come back again.

the staff was very nice, our room was in great condition and clean, the breakfast was good, but they should keep it full until at least 9am (it is served from 6:30 until 9:30 am) because already arround 8:45 when my daughter went there the orange juice and apple juice were empty and not replaced. other than that it was great, thank you to all that work there for making our stay memorable, good job !!
