Great location, friendly staff

I have stayed here in the past because the location is close to my San Diego office. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast includes eggs, protein and many other selections, plenty of variety. There are several great restaurants within close walking or driving distance. I love that the rooms include a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. This stay I was given a handicap accessible room (I'm not handicapped), unfortunately the shower handle holder was broken and the handheld unit was tied up in place - it hit me at about chest level and made showering really difficult and annoying - hence the low score for room comfort.

Worked out very well, close to highway without a lot of noise. Close to some restaurants and Trader Joes. Very friendly staff and acceptable breakfast to start the day.

Not the best experience

The room smells when we first captain. It smell like smoking. The bed was Old and you can see is sort of lope sided.

Convenient location and reasonable rate.

I would stay here again, the staff was really friendly and accommodating. I stayed here during a business trip so I appreciated that the hotel is convenient to a my work as well as a wide variety of restaurants, shopping and even a large multi-plex movie theater. The breakfast was sort of standard buffet fair, eggs, a variety of meat, pancakes as well as fruit, cereal and yogurt. My room was spacious and quiet. Expedia's website said the lobby would be under renovation but they have not started yet.

Everything was amazing except for when I got there I had reserved a king size bed and the clerk in the front desk have me a 2 bed room. I went back down to the main lobby and told him he gave me the wrong room then he proceed to inform me they don't have any kings in that hotel. Then later he said never mind and gave me a room.

Good holiday experience.

Stay was over the holidays to be close to family. Reservations were made for my son and I. He left after 3 days, I stayed for 7. Room was excellent. The maids tucked too much of the top cover under the extremely comfortable mattress. No problem pulling it out to cover my shoulders. The hotel staff were mainly invisible until needed and then extremely helpful. (I am very hard of hearing and not too mobile at aged 91)

Good value at a Fair Price

HIE was comfortable enough. Good variety for breakfast bar. Staff generally helpful and pleasant. I wouldn't recommend it as a romantic getaway, but for a place to sleep and study for a few days, it was certainly adequate. I understand they will be doing a complete renovation come January.
