“Great place”

Of the three places that our family stayed while vacationing in California by far this was the best. Staff was excellent and friendly. We stayed at an upscale resort in Anaheim, which you would think the service would be to notch, but no. Ryan at the front desk was great!

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful. My family and I are excited to go back to San Diego and stay at the Holiday Inn Express again. The employees are helpful with all your needs.

This hotel had friendly staff, good breakfast in the morning, and convenient shuttle service to the airport, convention center, seaworld, and San Diego Zoo.

Great hotel. Nice and clean, plus friendly and attentinve staff. Great breakfast. Location is within walking distance of Old Town and right off Highway 5. Was impressed with the soundproofing in the rooms given the freeway traffic and nearby airport. Would definitely choose this hotel again.

“Customer service was great during the regional power outage”

We checked in shortly after the start of the regional power outage. We were very impressed with how friendly and efficient the hotel staff was. They even handed out ice cream sandwiches and provided some of the breakfast food that evening. The staff couldn't have been better, especially during a challenging time. The location is close to Old Town which is awesome! We love Cafe Coyote. The hotel is also conveniently close to the freeway. Our room did face the freeway and was a little noisy. They have double windows which does help reduce the noise. We slept very well in spite of everything.

“Ok hotel”

I rate this as a middle of the road hotel for a person in a wheelchair. Access to Old Town was a little too far to negotiate the chair, and getting to downtown San Diego required driving our own vehicle either to the trolly stop or downtown.

“Great location for my trip”

The hotel was in a great location for my trip. We were going to MCRD and the hotel had a shuttle that went there. The hotel staff was great and informative.

Very friendly staff. Room was both comfortable and had a luxury feel. Like that it was so close to Old Town.

I expected this to be just a room with a bed to sleep in at the end of the day. Instead we were pleased to find a staff that went above and beyond service expectations. They even knew our names when we walked up to the counter to check in. We were in town to watch our son graduate from the USMC bootcamp. The hotel staff knew everything we were going to need to do and when. If it hadn't been for the front desk and shuttle staff we would have been lost and confused most of our stay. They were knowledgeable and profesional the hotel was spotless, the rooms were very modern and very comfortable, the shuttles felt like personal chauffeurs always at our disposal. The location was walking distance from several restaurants. Most important they treated our family like we were 5 star guests. I can't say enough good things about this hotel - a very good value for our dollar.
