Would have been better to have a close restaurant or one in the hotel.

A quick Weekend trip

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff, the clean facilities, coffee in the room, the closets, TV, computer desk, and the WIFI to work.
Cons: A tap for filtered water to drink in the bathroom. The sink water tasted funny.
The hotel was nice and looked very clean. The parking was the only bad part of my experience. Staff was informative, pleasant, professional, and courteous. The hotel itself felt very clear and well kept. My room was perfect. Parking was tough as the spaces were small and limited though we were able to manage and the elevator from the parking garage was right next to our room, but that parking garage is very small. We had to get our bags out of the windows as every car was too closed to each other and the walls that there was barely enough room to get my person out. After a long day and drive I was not looking forward to checking into the hotel as all I wanted to do was just to plot on the bed and sleep. Your staff was the next best thing. I would stay here again with no second thoughts besides the parking.

Pros: Staff extremely helpful.
Location: Close to Old Town
We were initially worried about the close proximity to the freeway as we were not use to any traffic noise at home however this turned out not to be a problem. Older establishment but very clean.

Holiday Inn Old Town

Posted May 13, 2015
Firstly, this hotel isn't exactly in Old Town. It's about a mile from the Transit Center. They offer a shuttle into Old Town upon request. For the money it was fine. Room was a tad small but we came from a condo so we had to adjust. Our sheets initially were stained which kind of grossed me out but they got changed right away on our request. Free breakfast was a little above the norm. Free parking is what's sold me on this place. Parking generally in SD is horrendous.

Excellent location; Helpful & friendly staff

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, service, cleanliness, & price
Cons: Keep the pool open until 11 or midnight (at least on weekends). Buy new bed covers that are heavier.
Location: Old Town is not to be missed! Transport station is also at Old Town with access to Gaslamp & Little Italy (very convenient for dinner & a drink)
Everything & everyone met or exceeded expectations & the hotel was well kept. The only reason I gave Facilities a 4 instead of 5 is because the pool closes at 10pm and I would have liked to use it later. I asked why & understand the reason they close it at 10pm is because the pool is next to some of the hotel rooms & could keep guests awake. The only reason I gave Room comfort a 4 instead of 5 is because the bed cover wasn't heavy so I asked for an extra blanket which they were happy to provide. Not a big deal, but I like to have a cozy bed cover even when the air conditioning is on. Really, this is an excellent hotel for the price & I loved the Old Town location. The shuttle service & drivers are fantastic. Also, I had a rental car & the access to everywhere was incredibly easy. I would definitely stay here again. (Stayed at hotel in April '15)

We were there only one night We stayed there because it was close to the airport and we were flying out in the morning. The staff was. Helpful The room was clean and nicely decorated. Menus from a variety of local restaurants was provided. We were tired so it was good to be able to eat in. We ordered Chinese and it was good. The only problem was a tight faucet in the bathroom that made it impossible to turn courtesy off. We would have requested another room if we were staying another night.

Stayed for 3 nights at Holiday Inn Express

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: None
Location: It is the ideal location in San Diego and a nice neighborhood. Old Town is about a mile away. Also, went to Coronado Island, which was nice.
It was the perfect place for us to stay after our cruise. The free shuttle was awesome!! It picked us up at the cruise port, took us & picked us up at Old Town and also took us to the airport. Their breakfast was very good too as well as the motel staff. Would definitely stay here again if we are in San Diego.
