This is an area of San Diego where there are now a lot of homeless. Walking to restaurants is a distance.

My room smelt so horrible. It smelt as if someone left a wet dog in the room. The bathroom was filled with mold. Luckily the staff came to help clean, but my goodness it was bad. I asked to switch rooms but there were not available. When the cleaning staff came to help clean, even they felt bad about the smell. Luckily I only stayed one night, but never again.

It was totally unclear that parking was not included. Staff informed me when I arrived at night that parking cost $35 per night! I had to park on the street and wake up early to feed the meter 😔 If I had known parking was not free I would have booked a different hotel.

Rough neighborhood…Cops at 4 am on the street outside. Not a real good landing for loading and unloading bags. The help and staff were really good. noisy walls and needed to change rooms. We loiked it though. Good breakfast….help was really good.

Sorry you felt the neighborhood wasn't good. We are right down the street from the fire station as well as police station. Thus you see them in the neighborhood frequently. Glad you found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

We liked the location and convenience to the surrounding community for access to food and entertainment. The place was clean and felt safe. The main reason for the less than perfect review is the room had too much noise from the floor above or the A/C unit was too noisy.

This property was perfect for what my family and I were looking for. It was clean. Parking worked out great and included breakfast also was a bonus. The walls are definitely thin. The staff were lovely when there were staff at the front desk but there seem to be times when no one was there. I am guessing they are understaffed which seems to be an issue everywhere. I would definitely recommend. Such a cute neighborhood and restaurans within walking distance were fabulous.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry you didn't have a pleasant experience with the bathrooms. We are an older building and the bathroom sizes unfortunately were much smaller back in the day when it was built. We can't really modify that aspect of the stay. But we appreciate the feedback.

First time in San Diego, and this hotel did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly, easy check in and out. Nice modern rooms and comfortable bed and also a great variety for breakfast. The hotel was also right in the downtown area that is walkable or a low price Uber to and from restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here!

My family and I were passing through San Diego and we stayed there for one night only. The hotel was very accommodating and the staff was great, especially a Haitian man by the names of Bruno. He was very kind and helpful. He deserves a raise !!!

The front desk staff was great. The room wasn't very clean and the lights turned out whenever I moved in the bed, which was concerning. I also have issues with the manager. I booked a fully cancellable 4-night stay via Expedia. When I arrived at the hotel and said I would only be staying one night, they said I needed to call Expedia to change the reservation. I went to my room and called Expedia. During the 13-minute call (which another person witnessed and I have a phone record of), the Expedia rep put me on hold, called the hotel to cancel the room for the last 3 nights, then informed me the hotel agreed to the cancellation (which I confirmed with the front desk). We left the next day believing everything was fine. Not only did the hotel then charge me for 4 nights, they charged for 4 days of parking, which was not part of the original reservation. At first, the manager claimed it was because we didn't physically check out. I argued did what is typical - we left a key with the front desk staff and one in the provided place once we used it to exit the garage. Later they said, we never canceled with Expedia. The manager has not called me back to discuss a fair resolution. When Expedia attempted to call the hotel multiple times while I waited on hold (two times) to resolve the issue, they were unable to get through to the hotel. I then received several follow-up emails from Expedia saying they were unable to make contact with the hotel management. Honestly, the hotel manager

The property was in a good location to be able to walk around downtown without really needing an Uber or taxi. However it is surrounded by steep hills to walk up on the way back to the hotel. When checking in they should tell you when you check out you’ll need your room key to get out of the parking lot.

Awesome place to stay but parking was a night mate in the parking garage and they also charge 35 bucks a night to park. But it was a nice hotel with easy place to walk to if you don’t mind walking.
