Nice hotel for a quick trip

The loved the fact that the hotel was so close to the beach.The staff were great, and assisted in any way possible. The breakfast was good, but the pancake machine kept malfunctioning, so we had disappointed little ones. The location of the hotel allowed us to venture out on great day trips. Overall, the hotel met our mini vacations needs.

Pros: Good size room, free wifi, good location, helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Maybe some updating. Elevator is old.
Location: A good amount of food options within walking distance. Also, close to the beach.
Staff were great. Hotel was close to different food options and close to the beach.

I had disappointing internet issues in this hotel.

Pros: quite and close to beach
Cons: Manager and internet connection and business center
I used the business center of this hotel to print out some thing from my email. Soon after that, I was not able to access to my email inbox. After telling this to the manager, she did not accept any responsibility nor any compensation. I realize the wi-fi connection in the room is also not secured (not password protected), and asked for direct cable connection which did not happens even after three nights. The manager never follow that up until I warn her about perusing a law sue case against her. After that she was aggressively not only accept the responsibility but also tried to put all fault on me and never convinced me why she did not follow up with my case for couple of days. All she mentioned was since the other guests do not have any problem, I should not have a problem too!!!. Finally, at the time of check out she asked me for a copy of my payment history so that she arranges for refund (9 nights or part of that on her choice!) for compensation. With regards to all the losses and terrible experience I had there, I put that on manager side to compensate me on her choice and do whatever that she would expect if she were in my shoes. However, after one week of the check out date, nothing happened. I emailed her couple of time to ask for the satatus of the refund. She never replied back and ignored me. I am surprised how this kind irresponsible and not respectful person (she is not even respecting what she promised on her choice) can be a manager at Holiday Inn!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: The quiet atmosphere, the willingness of the staff to be of service.
Cons: The one thing is to somehow make the entrance a bit easier to access. However given the width of the property this might not be feasible,
We have had several stays at this location due to continuing appointments at Scripps La Jolla. Staff has always provided whatever assistance we needed. We will continue to stay at this Holiday Inn Express Solana Beach/Del Mar. We highly recommend this business for it professionalism and comfort.
