“Holiday Inn La Mesa”

It smells like a holiday inn. No complimentary coffee in the lobby. No frills, but the room was clean. Water in the shower was Luke warm in two occasions this stay. Otherwise this is a great place to stay if you need to be a stones throw from the SDSU campus.

“Decent for the money”

Hotel is generally clean and staff is friendly and helpful although not always particularly competent. Kudos to the wait staff at the Mesa Cafe who were helpful and competent.

“Will Stay here in the future!”

I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn since I worked at one in college. I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very well thought out for a comfortable stay. Great full size stand up shower and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I will be staying here again in the future.

“Holiday Inn Rocks!”

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in La Mesa, CA; and it was great. The room was very clean and had an upscale decor to it. The service at the dining room for breakfast was also very good. We will definitely be back!

Area recommendations

La Mesa is enjoyable for its antique stores, shopping and a local wine tasting bar. Its also not too far from downtown San Diego.

New, clean, trendy, conveniently located to visit family. This will now be our hotel of choice. It doesn't, however, offer complimentary breakfast. No matter.

“holiday inn la mesa”

service people very nice. our room unfortunately had two problems: 1) the door would remain ajar even with the auto-spring-closure (had to be pulled closed every time); 2) ants came in to bathroom through bath door frame on the first night. we notified the hotel, but chose to stay in room for convenience since we were only there for two nights (if they crawled beyond the bathroom, we would have changed rooms). convenient location to costco, mcdonalds's, shell gas station, many restaurants, and a straight shot down the freeway to seaworld and coronado island.

“Great place!!”

Close to food, gas, shopping, freeway, etc. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Will stay there again!!

This hotel is SUPER close to San Diego State University!! About 5 minutes away!

There is a shopping center across the street from the hotel. It has a Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Olive Garden, BJ's Diner, Chipotle, Panda Express, McDonald's Plus many others!! Bank of America and Bank of the West are there, too! Very convenient!!
