Hip but affordable in SD Gaslamp District

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Get some beds worthy of the rest of it. tone down your valet parking rates - outrageous mark up on nearby lots.
Location: GasLamp district is just fabulous.
yes indeed. Hip decor. Friendly, young, hip Staff. Au Courant decor - almost New York "W" style but with a California twist. Nice bar/restaurant that served me a great breakfast and later on, drinks. Gaslamp district right outside. Ball Park three blocks away. Beds a bit on the hard side. Relatively quiet as regards street noise.

Great location and close to shopping & restaurants

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Dog friendly and location
Cons: Valet parking, Bath tub would be nice.
Location: Petco studium, restaurants
Great hotel and friendly staffs. Close to everything. Once things Valet parking $41 is too much and they take lots of time to bring a car. they use texting to get a car but they forgot twice and end up we have to ask again and we are late for an event and restaurant reservation. At least my husband asked them to waive our valet and they did. Dog friendly and they have dog treats on front desk. NICE. One thing you have to care is during baseball games on Petco park(very close to hotel), some streets close and street parking is not available. we stayed 2 nights and second day after they clean our room, there were bunch of hairs on drainer in showroom. well, it might be ours but it's not pleasant. Room looks nice and new. Very convenient location. We will be back for sure.

Excellent hotel in a good location

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Comfortable, clean, modern, good size room, helpful staff, nice roof top bar; close the Gaslamp Quarter, Petco stadium, and the convention center.
Location: Gaslamp Quarter, Petco stadium, convention center, lots of restaurants, Seaport Village (if that tacky kind of stuff is your thing)
The hotel is modern, comfortable, and pet friendly. The rooftop bar has a good view of the ball field of Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres. It has reasonably priced food and beverages and a casual, comfortable atmosphere. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter and about 15 minutes to the convention center and the large convention hotels near it. The trolley is close by. The staff is friendly and efficient.

great location

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: key access for elebator. ningh floor lounge, good eats in lobby restaraunt.
Cons: build a swimming pool. more space for unloading and loading.
Location: GasLamp offers lots of places to go!
went to see Dodgers vs. Padres on a Saturday evening. Curbside valet parking was a first for me at a hotel. Staff greeted us, advised of the cost for valet, and offered to assist with bags. check in was smooth. room was nice. Petco stadium visible, from our window. Great ambiance on the 9th floor lounge. a better view of the park. Walked to stadium, hit a couple bars and eateries, returned no problem, all walking distance. Key required to use elevator provided extra security.

Awesome location!

When we first checked in we were put into a room that overlooked the roof of the first floor and a not very appealing view. I asked for another room and got one immediately without issue on the 5th floor overlooking the city and you could see the ballpark down the street. In fact, PETCO Park is very close and baseball games can be seen from HOTEL INDIGO's 9th floor sports/trendy bar as well. Nice atmosphere, the staff is very responsive and accommodating...I will be staying here again!
