Lots of construction in the area

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Clean and pleasant.
Cons: Coffee maker in room. Put in vending machines. Leave room in fridge for my stuff.
Location: Gas Lamp district has plenty of eateries and bars. Ideal for the younger generation.
Currently is a construction area. Gas Lamp district ideal for young people. No coffee maker in room. Pool is only 3' deep. Does not have vending machines, must buy stuff from mini-bar or go to out to get snacks and beverages. However, fridge is full of the mini-bar stuff.

Great location in the Gas Lamp Quarter. Stayed three nights on an extended business trip. Within walking distance of many great attractions.

Great spot in San Diego

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Enjoyed 3 night stay with wife and 5 year old. Great location, nice facility. Really enjoyed the rooftop pool. Minor annoyances included the pool bar / restaurant not opening until later in the afternoon on weekdays and not having any hot water in the shower on one of the mornings.

Ahhh just So so

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros. Nice location. Cute and looks nice in the lobby. Free beer and wine everyday in the lobby. Cool roof heated pool. Cons. The roof pool was trashed and dirty. Every seating area had cups plates. Looks like it was like that for hours. We didn't want to stick around. We paid for a view room and now they are building a high rise next door our room be comes a peak a boo view. The front desk guy didn't know a answer to a question I had nore did he ask anyone else. The bed was a cheaper 1 bed cuz when I would go with in a foot from the edge it starts to cave in.

Perfect Location for Visiting Downtown San Diego

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The location is great, parking was easy, and the room itself was quiet and clean.
Cons: The restroom could do with some renovations. For example, the shower was difficult to work on.
Location: Close to bars, and other entertainment.
Stayed for one night. Good experience, staff was friendly, and room service was nice. Loved the mini bar selections.

Nice place but not that comfortable

Posted Feb 16, 2015
There is major construction going on right next door and we had a great view of it. The room was nice and clean but the bed wasn't comfortable. I'd stay there again if I had to, but if nicer places are available I'd go with the other.

Great Service, Great Facilities and Great Staff.

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Expedia
Cons: Can't think of anything to improve. Was as close to a perfect stay as I've ever had.
Location: Restaurants/bars/convention centre/waterfront/marina
Went to San Diego for a long weekend and found this hotel on Expedia. It is very well located in the central Gas Lamp district. Staff at the front desk were all very helpul and attentive to every inquiry regarding restaurants, things to see and do, directions etc. I was really impressed by the way they dealt with an issue that we had with our room. When we went into our room, we noticed a strong smell of smoke (from a previous guest who smoked in the non smoking room) as well as an ionizer machine which was meant to get rid of the smell. When we asked for a different room, the front desk staff were very apologetic and found us a great room on a higher floor, offered us a complimentary breakfast, which in this hotel is a very nice gesture, as well as moved our luggage for us. The rooftop bar on the 4th Floor was beautiful. Bar staff were very friendly and gave us expert advice on the best way to enjoy the restaurant/bar scene downtown (which is to bar/restaurant hop). Another unexpected pleasant surprise I've never seen at any other hotel before is the serving of free wine in the lobby at 5pm. Was really good wine too. I would definately stay at this hotel again. It was one of my best hotel stays anywhere. Mike Vancouver, Canada

Nothing special

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: It was clean & modern. Staff was nice.
Location: It was raining & cold, so we didn't do much walking for the hotel because all the places we wanted to go weren't in waking distance.
Bad weather probably didn't help the overall feel, it rained the 2 days in San Diego. Our room was eye level with construction outside, so when I opened my curtains there was a roof full of construction workers, no privacy. Only valet was an option for our hotel parking & it was overpriced. But because it was raining & cold & there was lots of construction outside our hotel & we had a lot of luggage, looking for cheaper parking wasn't an option.
