Absolutely stunning hotel

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Literally everything.
Cons: Honestly, can't think of a single thing.
Location: Reds, Reds, Reds! And walk around the harbor in the morning - it's lovely.
After experiencing hell at the hands of the Motel 6 in downtown San Diego, my girlfriend and I were very wary of staying at Humphreys. But as soon as we pulled up, we knew it was going to be a completely different experience. From the ease of check-in to the absolutely incredible night view of downtown all lit up across the water, it was PERFECT. The room overlooked the pool, which was also very pretty at night, and was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It's also walking distance from a truly delicious coffee shop called Reds - we're still dreaming about it! Overall, Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites gave us an impeccable last night's stay in San Diego, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend to everyone!

Absolutely stunning hotel in a prime location

Pros: Literally everything.
Cons: Honestly, I couldn't point out a single thing. It was delightful.
Location: Reds, Reds, Reds! Delicious for breakfast and spicy mochas. We also took a nice walk around the islet - refreshing and beautiful in the morning.

Will be back

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights down here because of a fishing trip. I almost didn't want to go fishing. The hotel is in a great location, has a bar with music, and everything is in walking distance. I was very impressed, and I can't wait to go back. The only thing I wish was different about the trip is that I wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent location for a family who wants space

Close to great restaurants, excellent facilities. You have to option to eat in and cook or eat in surrounding restaurants. The pool was large and the spa was larger than ordinary pool spas. Too bad we were not there when there's a concert!

Rooms are clean. Bathroom is clean but small. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Liked the proximity to beach.

Nice hotel grounds, poor staff, and rooms

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Nice pool, clean room
Cons: Staff being willing to help, wet carpet in rooms, not working TV
Location: Beautiful island, nice views, quiet area
Poor staff, leaking AC, loud room, lack of parking Upon arriving we found the TV to not be working. I called the front desk and asked if we could have another room. The front desk simply said, "No. We'll send someone right now." The repair still wasn't there after and hour so I called again and I asked to just let us move since we couldn't get comfortable waiting for the repairman. He said, "No stay in that room. Someone will come right away." It took another 15 minutes. The TV connection was fixed but it broke again that night. The floor was also wet the whole stay. I thought we spilled something but it never went away. Parking was a pain. I had to park at the opposite end of the hotel and walk to my room. Upon checkout, I stated my issues with the TV, floor being wet, and dimly lit room. The man didn't apologize or offer a discount. He simply said, "Oh yeah. A lot of rooms are having leaks." This hotel has potential and could be nice but the staff isn't helpful, the rooms are dimly lit, and parking is a pain and $14 a night.

parking

Pros: good clean rooms and friendly staff.
Cons: parking
Location: good location short trip to attractions and food .
parking lot was very small ,hard to get a spot to park and spaces were small . there was a concert one night and spaces where taken by people attending concert. we had to park far from our room.
