The staff and hotel stay were great. Located close to many different attraction- shopping, zoo, etc. I would definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the great feedback! It is so great how close we are to the local attractions. It is so great that you can just run to the zoo quickly. Thanks again for choosing Hyatt. Regards, Thimothy C. – Guest Relations

Very nice hotel but you pay for all the extras

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Cons: Better lighting, free wi-fi in room. Those seem like necessities.
Location: On this trip, we went to Ocean Beach, Balboa Park and Torrey Pines State Park. All are highly recommended.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights while visiting family in La Jolla. The room was comfortable, with a king sized bed, large flat screen TV, desk and chair, and easy chair; the walk-in shower and rainfall-type shower head were especially nice. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and prompt. The location was convenient. Something we find often in hotels, true here too, is that the lighting is poor; even the bedside lamps were too low to provide light for reading in bed. My main complaint is how expensive it was. Besides the room price, if we wanted a car there, the extra cost was absurdly high, so we had a family member drop us off each night and pick us up in the morning. Room service charges were outrageous, and even more annoying was the fact that you have to pay for wi-fi in your room. We've stayed at cheap motels where the wi-fi is free!

Did not pre dust clean the night stand area.

Posted Sep 30, 2014
When you walked in with a tiresome body, the light and the comfort of the bed was good but the counter in the bathroom had some dust. Later when I woke up, the night stand is with dust around. I would suggest that the prebooked room need some light clean before the customer arrives.

Pros: nice large swimming pool!!!
Location: lots of restaurants and shops nearby...short drive to ucsd
brought some cookies to room that were offered in downstairs lobby and within a couple of hours started to see ants invade room...i thought ants would be taken care of by room cleaning service but continued see ants throughout room even after room was cleaned.

Great value

My wife and I searched for a hotel to stay at for our anniversary and this was the best priced of the upper scale hotels. All the staff was nice and the hotel room at a nice modern feel. I would definitely stay there again. The free parking package we got sealed the deal; every other hotel we looked at parking was $30 to $35 a night.

i loved the area .The staff were nice generally.

Pros: The view and the area
Cons: To make the rooms more confortableAlbert
We were very disapointed that the rooms did not have any drawer. You can not put any item in it. I had to keep my shirts my underwears in the luggage and that was very uncofortable.

Hotel staff was friendly & facilities were nice but the room was lacking. Our bathroom smelled like sewage in the morning while, presumably, other guests were using their showers. Also there was no dresser or dresser like furniture in our room, just cubbys in the closet to put things. In the end it was not worth the money.
