Hyatt Regency San Diego

The staff was absolutely wonderful; helpful engaging and warm. The place needs an upgrade its old and it shows. The other issue is directions to and from were awful, but I don't know if thats the hotels issue or GPS/Uber. So it's out of the way if it was upgraded I would recommend provided you have transportation and good mapping skills.

Pros: Everything

Great location. Close to beaches, Sea World, and everything coastal. We were hoping for a kitchenette but they only have a small fridge. Barely squeezed 2 gallons of milk in. Thought they would have plates, bowls and utensils to eat with in the room but did not. They did have room service bring bowls and plastic silverware, so the staff war very accommodating. Separate bedroom sleeps 4 and sofa has a pull out sleeper. Room was overall clean and serviced each day but floor/carpet was dirty.

Nice view of the bay hotel

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: The grounds and location
Cons: beds
Location: bayfront
Arrived, room I booked was different than I envisioned...hotel staff made an effort/succeeded in providing a positive outcome with a minor adjustment to my wallet. Opened door to room and noticed room had been "used." I contacted a maid on the floor and she called the front desk...she apologized and proceeded to clean the room promptly. I appreciated the staff I spoke with, as they made efforts to right the errors. Overall the food served at the pool bar was tasty, the hotel grounds were enjoyable to walk, the bed sagged a little too much for my back, and my teen enjoyed the sofa bed in the living room.

Needs an update

Rooms are worn out cable TV comes in blurry. The only thing is a great pool and location. Nice lobby but tired rooms and bedspreads wallpaper and bathroom. Carpet is gross and dirty. Room was really damp also. They have a great location and pool

A bit pricey. Could stay at Omni for same money. Close to mission beach.

Nice hotel but a little bit overpriced

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: I liked the relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: The guest chairs in the lobby are stained and need to be washed ASAP. It seems that a lot of people sit there and the staff has not noticed this.
Location: Did not go around the area as I was in for business, but there are stores on the other side of the bay, which I could see from my balcony.
Nice hotel, but a little bit confused with the directions. I got lost twice before arriving (and I was using Google Maps!). The hotel is divided into the main "Tower" and then a set of 3 2-story buildings that surround the Tower. I stayed at the Tower on the 11th floor and had a lovely view of the bay area. The concierge set me up in that room and I am very grateful for it, otherwise I would have had a view of the parking lot. The food is a bit pricey and not too many options are available. You also have to pay a "resort fee" whether you use the resort facilities or not and they also charge for the overnight parking.
