Not enough Bang for your BuckPosted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: the grounds were beautiful, the location is pretty good and the view was lovely. The staff were very nice too.
Cons: They need to renovate the smaller buildings next to the tower. They were old, dark and a little dingy. Also could use some soundproofing.
Location: near sea world, mission beach- both walkable and very short drive to Hillcrest, Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park (zoo, museums, theatre) and airport
The hotel grounds were lovely and the location was great! We didn't stay in the tower and that seems to be the biggest issue. The hotel wasn't cheap by the time you added in the "resort fee" and the parking and what we got was an old room that we didn't want to be in for long periods of time. However, the staff was lovely an so i would ask to see pictures of the Tower Rooms... maybe they would be worth the price

Nice hotel but spa fee is ridiculousPosted Apr 26, 2015
Cons: Get rid of the spa fee or make it something of real value. Right now, all it is, is a gimic to increase the nightly rate.
Everything about the hotel itself was great, but the mandatory spa fee was a waste of money. Many hotels offer 2 complementary bottles of water and free Wi-Fi, so this was a bit silly. My wi-fi didn't even work in my room. I had to go out into the hall to get a connection and lost that connection when I went back into my room. The coupon book of spa discounts was a it laughable. 10 % off 'this and that' was of no significance, and these coupons often only apply if you pay full price for another one. Lastly, the spa fee included 1 (one per stay, NOT per day) free 3 our use of their cruiser bikes, which were all rusty. My handle bars were loose so this was a potential problem.

Beautiful views of Mission BayPosted Apr 25, 2015
Loved our stay in the tower overlooking Mission Bay! Beautiful Gardens with relaxing seating, good selection of eateries on the hotel grounds and nearby. Parking pricey for my taste, cheaper to take a cab and save parking fees.

Nice hotel! Too far from everything!Posted Apr 24, 2015
Beautiful hotel! Swim cafe by the pool should be open earlier offering breakfast items and coffee!

Good location.Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: The room was pleasant and the view of Mission Bay was wonderful.
Cons: A casual restaurant, something between the two that are on the premise, would be a nice addition, especially for families. Expensive to park.
Location: As above. Other attractions like the zoo are a short drive away.
Close to beach, Belmont Park, Seaworld. This was a spring break vacation and our grandchildren enjoyed all of the above. They are swimmers and enjoyed the pool, tho it was very windy during our stay, and they did not use it as much as they would have liked.

Beautiful views and amenities, hidden costsPosted Apr 22, 2015
We LOVED our room, for comfort, cleanliness, and the beautiful view! Also, it was extremely convenient to have taxis ready to go at 5 a.m. so we could catch our flight. I would rate it as "excellent" overall if it weren't for the fees hidden everywhere. Is it too much to ask for the cost to be up front??

Nice hotel could use an update with the rooms.Posted Apr 19, 2015
Great location and staff. The rooms have nice view and the pools are nice. Our room was a little outdated. The Bay Area is a wonderful area with lots to do in and around the resort. Great family environment. The restaurant on site was a little over priced. The menu should be updated. The view and atmosphere at the restaurant was very nice. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

It was a good hotel. The pools and water slides were great for the kids, and location was great. Rooms were ok, nothing special.
