Nice hotel on the water

Posted May 23, 2015
Pros: Atmosphere, quiet room, comfortable bed, view.
Cons: More thorough cleaning of rooms. Do not make resort fee mandatory - or be more up front about it to customers by including it in room prices.
Location: Close to Mission Beach, downtown, La Jolla, Torrey Pines State Park. Lots of things to do in the area, but you will need a car.
Enjoyed my stay here. Great view from the tower, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Disappointed by the cleanliness of the room. I noticed the surfaces were not very thoroughly wiped down when we first arrived. The seals in the marina can be a little noisy at night, but it wasn't too disruptive - they do offer ear plugs, but we didn't need them. Watch out for hidden fees. Lots to do in the area. Overall great experience!

Great location with very friendly & helpful staff

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: The pool area was great and the location of the hotel was fantastic.
Cons: Quality of room service - extremely poor. Also, update the bathtubs to coincide with the rest of the bathroom.
Location: Great central location to everything you want to do in San Diego. Sea World is 5 minutes away, San Diego Zoo is 15 minutes away.
We just spent 5 days at the resort from May 14 - 18th. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Check-In was smooth and there is lots of parking at the resort. I really liked the layout of the facility with check-in Central to everything around it. We stayed in the Tower and brought two small children with us. They don't have cribs but do have Pack 'N Plays which the kids were for the most part, fine in. The view from the 15th floor was excellent as we had a full view of the Marina and Sea World. The tower itself is an older building but they have done some renovations to the interior to make it more modern. The bathrooms were good although the bathtub & shower head were a little on the older side and probably needs updating to fit in with the rest of the suite. My only complaint really about the room is the noise which was surprising on the 15th floor. The glass is thin that separates the room from the outside balcony & you can hear traffic and noise below on the street fairly clearly. The pool area is very nice. 3 separate pools with waterslides as mentioned. Lots of deck chairs and clean towels always available. We did order room service one night and I'll be honest, it was disappointing. We split a Sausage and Salami Pizza and it was horrible - they left off the shaved fennel and the Salami was extremely tough. The rest of the pizza was 99% cheese which was overbearing & just heavy. The thing that ruined it was a delivery charge of $3.50 and a service charge

Total disapointment

Posted May 18, 2015
We always stay with Hyatt when we travel. The room was dingy and outdated. We asked to be moved due to a filthy room and bathroom and the front desk could not be bothered. We waited an hour and a half to get a clean room. We were so disappointed with all services. Parking was $35 a night and the resort fee of $25 per night was a joke. This was a cheap motel at best.

Nice view

We had to upgrade because the first room they put us in smelled like someone emptied a gallon of febreeze in the room. It was so bad I had no choice to upgrade and yes they charged me but overall after we upgraded the rest of the stay was nice and we got a room that overlooked to harbor.

OK place to stay.

Location: San Diego , is by nature , spread out. Everything is far away .Be prepared to travel to anything.
Noisy at first until figured out to shut off the constant furnace fan. Tub drain broken , never to be fixed. Cleaning service did not clean the floor for four days. Great access to the docks. Everything very priecy.

Very nice atmosphere with lots of scenery to enjoy. Kids friendly resort and quick access to restaurants plus loved the fact that parks weren't too far out and within reasonable distance from hotel.

Towels were smelling bad and the keys were not working and they didn't replace it by themselves. Otherwise everything was good.

Upscale

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: The pool, although it was so windy that day.
Upscale but noisy, at least where we were. At the end of a hall and 'something' was going on in the stair way. Work, or other it didn't stop, and I didn't care to investigate. The room was nice, clean and appointed nicely.
