I was very pleasantly surprised what a beautiful and friendly hotel. Felt welcomed from the moment we checked in. The room was clean, very stylish; felt very serene and comfortable. I would for sure stay here again!

I would selfishly prefer not to write a review so as to keep this little gem a secret, but that wouldn't be fair to the people who run this place. It is located about a block away from the main drag on Coronado island and about 2-3 blocks from the beach. The main street has many restaurants, a Walgreens, and Vons, etc. The Lodge is tucked away from the busy-ness of the surroundings, but just close enough if you crave some action. At night, it would take a pair of sharp eyes to differentiate the lodge from one of the nice houses in the neighborhood.
The people there are very very friendly. There is a small garage underground, and parking is FREE! The nearby hotel Del Coronado charges about $37 per day. There is hot entree for breakfast along with pastry, eggs, bread, cereal and yogurt. There is a small fountain in the middle of the property and you can sit nearby to have your breakfast and enjoy the morning sun. Perfect!
Our room was one of the downstairs rooms with a nice tub, king bed, sofa, etc. Very clean and very well-furnished. We had our 14-month old with us, and they provided a nice wooden crib with Winnie the Pooh blankets (not the usual pack-and-play).
My wife and I will definitely be back soon, and without our little one. We only stayed a couple nights and felt like we short-changed ourselves. We went to the San Diego Zoo, which was only about a 10 minute drive.
We can't say enough good things about this place!

This BY FAR is better than a hotel. It's an upscale apartment complex with your own assigned underground gated parking. The apartments are spacious and have every comfort a home would have. Even a washer and dryer for each apartment...including detergent! Fully stocked kitchen utensils/pot/pans/dishes etc. The bed in the master is VERY comfortable, the sofa bed not so much. It angled our kids' feet up and was kind of in a V shape so they rolled to the middle. Not a huge deal but was an irritant to them. I would recommend bringing an air mattress instead of the hide-a-bed because there's PLENTY of floor space and your kids will be more comfy. You have your own private patio with 2 chairs, a table and an umbrella in the outdoor closet if you want one. We stayed at another hotel on Prospect St the previous week and it was HORRIBLE. THIS PLACE BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER FOR ALMOST THE SAME MONEY!
That being said, make sure to check-in before 8pm if possible because there isn't a front desk or staff present after that time to show you around. We called and they emailed a facility map and check-in directions but it's a very confusing layout when you arrive for the 1st time in the dark. Once you get your bearings, it's all good. If you get there before 8, they can show you the complex and all will be well. I highly recommend this place and will stay there again.

Nice Bed And Breakfast. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very good breakfast. A little out of the way in your looking for a hotel close to attractions but close to a variety of restaurants. Excellent value.
