“Wonderful stay and great location in La Jolla”

This hotel is an ideal spot for enjoying a great Cal. vacation. It is on the ocean with unforgetable views and a beautiful park setting. Just steps up the hill and you are in LaJolla village with great shopping and tastey food. We felt very safe walking around day or night and letting our teens explore on their own. This is no 5-star, but it is very clean with a wonderful staff and all expected ammenities. The hotel is older, but many updates have been made and our room was perfect. Don't miss the free breakfast on the roof every morning - delicious and the view is fantastic. We are already planning to return.

“Best View But Not Elegant”

The ocean view rooms have the best view of the ocean the park at La Jolla Cove. Although the hotel is not elegant, the view, the direct proximity to the park and to La Jolla Village; and, the reasonable price for those assets I give the hotel my high rating. Staff was most helpful, the pool is nice and continental breakfast of the roof was enjoyable.

They will bend over backwards for you and they also give you fresh homemade cookies when you arrive.

“Great view, very relaxing.”

We were in the suites portion which I think were recently updated. We had so much space for the two of us. It was quiet for sleeping. The balcony had an amazing view of the sunset each night. And, it was great having a kitchen.

Great location. Lots of shopping & restaurants. View from our room was awesome. Hotel staff very helpful. our room was spacious and clean. I would stay there again as well as recommend it to others

“A great location to enjoy La Jolla.”

The location is ideal for enjoying La Jolla. Our room with the small balcony overlooking the park was wonderful and we used it frequently. The facility is older but I found it charming. It was a small room but totally adequate with a convenient kitchenette with a small frig. A nice continental breakfast was included that could be enjoyed on the rooftop! We walked from here to sample the eateries and stroll along the beach. What could be better? We will definitely go back when in the area again.

“Experience LaJolla Sunset at its Best”

What a wonderful location- you really know that you are in LaJolla when you see the sunset from your balcony and awaken to the seals in LaJolla Cove. In an age when all hotels seem to be the same, this one reminds you of why we travel. The roof top breakfast lounge is the best place to start the day whether for business or pleasure.
