Great location and amenities

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Walking distance to the beach. Nice to have access to grills by the pool. Suite have the kitchen/dishes to cook my own meals. Building and rooms are old and they are due for remodeling. Other than that our stay was pleasant. I will definitely stay there again.

Good location and that's about it.

In a good location, but the room was very small, outdated and had no air conditioning. We asked for a portable air conditioner which never came. Not very happy with the service.

Perfect location!

We really thought this hotel was in the perfect location and the staff was wonderful! Room was a bit small and we could hear everything outside our room but the location made up for that being steps away from the beach. Would definitely stay again!

Great location!

The La Jolla Cove Suites are located in a fabulous location. The view of the cove and Pacific Ocean was amazing. However, this is an old building and the rooms need to be updated. The layout of this particular room was odd - when you open the door to get into the suite you walk right into a wall. You have to slip into the bedroom before you can close the door. My cousin was also staying in the suites and she had a fabulous room.

not what we expected

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: location was great. helpful staff
Cons: need A/C. cheaper parking.
Location: great location. lots of nice food and shops nearby.
the room was not at all what we expected. for the price, there should at least be an A/C. the location was great but we didn't get any sleep due to how warm and stuffy it was in the room.

GreaT stay for my family

Posted Jun 14, 2015
Great stay w our 3 year old and 15 month old. Gave the kids the bedroom and we slept on comfy pull out in main room w view of ocean. Kitchen was missing some things but anything we asked for they got us right away (like an ac unit ). Bfast upstairs was good too. Can't beat the location and the fact it's a one bedroom suite. Wish there was a line in the shower to hang wet bathing suits and towels on. loved having the grassy park across the street for the kids to play and climb trees and look at seals and birds etc.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Location is excellent. Cross the street and you are at La Jolla Cove. It was great! Loved the breakfast on the rooftop with an incredible view!!
Cons: Free self-parking for hotel guests would be nice since there seemed to be plenty of parking spaces in the hotel lot. Wifi everywhere, but slow.
Location: Ocean, beach, snorkeling, sea lions, tide pools, hiking trails, shopping, fine dining are all close by!
Room we had was very spacious (2BR Suite). Could use updating in kitchenette area. Staff was helpful and courteous.

Great location, great prices

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Location and price. Half that of the Hilton at Mission Bay. Staff was great.
Cons: Add a afternoon or evening coffee and pastry service on the rooftop. Like EVERY hotel; remodeling to stay updated, of course. Full HD TV.
Location: Across the street from the park and walking distance to just about everything in downtown La Jolla.
I stayed in the older bungalows in back. It was more of a studio apartment than a hotel room. Great location, great view up the coast. VERY easy access to the Starbucks right behind my suite. Downtown La Jolla and all the great restaurants was right there. Breakfast on the rooftop is unbeatable for the location and 200 degree view.
