Pros: Clean and spacious room, good breakfast
Cons: Complete the small construction work that's happening in the lobby.

New and improved!

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Clean, comfortable, convenient.
Cons: Breakfast bar could stand a better variety of items.
They've expanded the breakfast bar since my last stay! I think they got new pillows too -- mine were more comfortable than the ones I've had before, but they were still a bit on the hard side. Regardless, this is one of the best hotel bargains in all of Oceanside. I've stayed here several times and have been very pleased each time. Clean, comfortable and convenient. I'll stay again.

Oceanside is scary but this hotel is not

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Not exactly the fanciest hotel in the San diego area, but it's only a couple minutes from Carlsbad and maybe fifteen to twenty from Encinitas [which is where all the best action is]. Also quite close to the beaches in Oceanside; would totally stay here again

Great value so close to the beach!

The room was very comfortable and clean. The free breakfast is very good too! You are about a 2 min drive to Oceanside pier. Loved it will definitely stay there again!

There are having a construction in the lobby and dont know how long that'll take. Looks like they were chaging the floor tiles, but hat didnt bother us at all. Room was clean, but the carpet has some stains. Not sure if its just our room. Overall it was nice. The staff were nice too.

Good location for getting to other locations.

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: The location was good for us because we were going to tour several parts of Southern California.
Cons: Monitoring the noise caused by others using the hotel.
Location: It wasn't quite walking distance to tourist and shopping that we wanted to do. Nevertheless, the short drive to those locations was good.
During the first couple of nights there was a lot of load noise from people in the hallways and other rooms. It almost became unbearable. We were too tired to get out of bed and see what was going on that caused the noise. We were afraid of a confrontation. So we just let it go. Fortunately, most nights were quite. The toilet need some minor adjustment so that the water flow would stop.

This was a perfect spot!

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: It looked like the carpet was new and what a great pattern (not boring)! Our room was decorated perfectly. Your evening manager was friendly/helpful.
Cons: Your front lobby area was currently under construction, so I think you are on the right track.
Location: We chose your hotel specifically for it's good location near the beach, the pier and Ruby's restaurant on the pier.
This was a one night stay on our way home. We wanted to eat at Ruby's at the end of the pier and it was a quick 2 block walk from our hotel. When we had an issue with the vending machine for 1 of 4 items, the hotel evening manager was quick to respond and handled the issue efficiently. He was very friendly too-which made the stay more comfortable. We were later breakfast attendees (9:30) and there weren't any hardboiled eggs left and after asking the day shift desk person if there were anymore, she asked and more were brought out. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was spotless. Although the hotel was at full capacity, it was a very quiet stay. Thank you for your service and we will definitely stay here again.

Nice but!

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: it was clean. liked the fact that it did allow dogs but they were constantly barking when you walked by their rooms which was annoying
Cons: in room plug in for phones/computers. better alarm clocks. ours was glued so we couldn't use it. no ventilation in the bathrooms.
Location: location was good and had easy access to the hwy 5
the place was nice but they were doing some sort of construction and the smell was overwhelmingly strong. the breakfast area was cramped and not in a pleasing area. first thing during check out there was someone off the streets arguing with the front desk lady about using an outlet for his phone. a lot of swearing very unpleasant. i have stayed at many of your hotels and this was this first disappointment so far. hopefully things will get better.

Rooms nicer than lobby.

Posted Mar 9, 2015
I was concerned when I saw the lobby was "under construction" for fear that the rooms would be shabby. But, the room was clean and quiet. Unlike many hotel/motel rooms I've been in, there was no musty odor in the room which was great. It would have been nice to have a parking space at the entrance for loading and unloading. The parking space I found was kind of a schlep.
