Family vacation

We spent a couple of nights in the area after vacationing at Disneyland. The resort was top notch, kudos to all the staff for being friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous Hotel & Top Notch Service

Pros: Loved the pools, spa & restaurants, especially Cay's Lounge where you can watch a beautiful sunset every night.
Cons: The expense of incidentals, such as bottled water could be lowered. $4 for bottled water! Really??
Location: Location is a bit out of the way but the beach is gorgeous & a tour of Coronado is a must, especially the Hotel Del Coronado.
Great experience staying at this hotel! There's lots to do for singles, couples & families! I found the service absolutely amazing, especially the assistance the concierge gave me with my flight details & connections for my trip home. The service in the restaurants was excellent as well. My only negative comment (and this is no reflection of the hotel ) was that I was aware through Expedia of the $25/night resort fee; however, nothing was mentioned about the additional $75/night fee for possible incidentals (such as room charges). Anyone booking a stay here should be made aware of this.

AMAZING

Pros: EVERYTHING.... staff...food...pool area...view...I could go on forever
Cons: the pastries that we purchased that evening must have been left over from the morning.. They should have been pulled earlier
Location: The view was totally amazing. The beach was just across the street and they will take you over there or even into town at no charge.
We stay here the last night of our vacation to San Diego.... We wish we had planned on more days here. The place was wonderful. We've already decided to come back

Dream stay

Pros: Absolutely everything! It was so great to have the three pools, family, kids and adults. Thank you for respecting each group!
Cons: Change the inside door locks. Very disturbing for those in sleeping rooms when other guests used those as a means to not use the door card. Noisy!
Location: We couldn't bring ourselves to leave the property.
We decided to spend out last night in San Diego at the Lowe's and couldn't have made a better decision. Truly an amazing property...fantasy like!

Beautiful Resort

Pros: I liked the Market To Go. I liked the chairs on the terrace. I liked the beautiful setting. I liked our room. I liked the adult pool.
Cons: They need to improve customer service. Customer service needs to be proactive. Do not wait for customers to complain.
Location: We highly recommend seeing the Midway. Sam Woo BBQ Restaurant on Clairemont Mesa maybe in a store, but the food is amazing.
I fully expected to have a wonderful experience at Loew's Coronado Bay Resort & Spa. We checked in two hours early and occupied our room. Our receptionist gave us information on what to do at the resort and made suggestion for what to visit in Coronado. The valet, wait staff, bar staff and supervisors really made our stay comfortable. I would rate our stay as comfortable. We received smiles and happy comments consistently from the valets. From the rest of the staff, I had to initiate smiles and hellos. As we passed staff in the halls, they kept their eyes on the floor. At the pool, I often had to go and get my own drink and food order. The housekeeping staff did not clean our rooms fully.They made the beds, they replaced the linens in the bathroom, but the rest of the room stayed the same. The staff did their jobs, but they did not go out of their way to provide great customer service. Our major complaint rests with the management. They scheduled events that made major parts of the resort off limits to us. They closed the Cantina for a private event.They closed the lower terrace for a wedding. A wedding which made finding a parking spot impossible. We had to park out by the entrance to the resort.The resort labeled most of the parking valet parking, making self parking inconvenient and tedious. We parked outside.The gate to the resort made it difficult to visit with our CA relatives. We visited outside the resort. This resort needs to ramp up their customer service.

Not bad, but not pleasant...

Pros: The paint color of the hotel room.
Cons: The parking, the internet, the staff's hospitality, etc etc
Location: It is remote, so there is nothing to do nearby. You need to drive about 4 miles to get anywhere interesting.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel, and while it wasn't bad, it was particularly pleasant. The hotel's grounds are not set up in the most appealing way, and we ended up having to walk quite far to get to and from our car. The refrigerator in the room did not work, and we didn't feel comfortable enough with the staff to request for it to be repaired. (Plus, who want to be dealing with refrigerator repair when you are on vacation?) The $25 resort fee does include "internet access", but it is the worst internet access possible. Apparently, you can pay an additional fee for internet service that works.... but after already spending $25 on the resort fee which is supposed to provide internet, we didn't want to spend any extra money. Looking around, it seemed that everyone else in the hotel was having pretty miserable times as they all had mildly displeased faces. While it wasn't horrible, I would rather not stay in this hotel again.

Great! Very busy hotel, does need more staff to bring in room dining quicker. But over all very good experience.

Hotel staff were amazing. We were treated to an upgraded room on our arrival. Rooms were very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hideaway

Pros: The bay view room ( full view with balcony) Location location
Cons: Fold the parking into the room rate, long stays 5-6 days it is quite a shock when added to the resort fee.
Location: Most beach items are right there you can walk to both bay and ocean beaches. Ocean beach is quite a walk from your room.
On arrival the staff did everything in there power to please us. The room was magnificent, clean(every day), well appointed and the view(bay view full) was breath taking. We were awakened each morning by the Navel base playing the national anthem from across the bay. Windows open all night, we had no need for A/C. The hotel has 5 pools with some adult only. Tennis courts, pin-pong, and water polo. Parking is under your building hidden away from view(but the fee is high along with a "Resort Charge add on) If your counting pennies this is the wrong hotel for that, the food although wonderful at all meals is wow expensive. We were there to have a great time and we did, and so would anyone looking for a great experience.
