“Save by parking off site”

After self-parking in the Hyatt parking location and exiting the next morning to sightsee, the attendant told us that the fee is $26/day whereas we thought it was $26 total for the four nights we would be there. So, we decided to park at the Ampco System Parking Lot 1035 located at First and Island Streets just a short walk south from the Hyatt and across from the Marriott Hotel. Fee is $7 from 5 PM to 7 AM. You can also return during the day if desired and park for $8 prior to 5 PM. Since we were gone during the day and only needed to park at night we spent $21 for the remaining 3 nights instead of $78 at the Hyatt. We could have taken a taxi from the airport and back to the airport for about $30 RT and not rented a car for the entire period. Could have used the trolley which does go to most of the places we visitied. Car rental for the 4 days was over $200 since they charge a full day's rent if part of a day is included.

“Excellent Hotel in San Diego”

Excellent service right from the start, even though it was a busy week. Hotel has lots of nice amenities, is very well kept, and it's got a great location with an amazing view. Spent a lot of time in the area just eating or walking around, and the airport is even a quick drive, too.

Hotel was awesome..people were so friendly..right in the middle of everything..easy walking distance to gaslamp and ferry to Coronado.only drawback was the 26 dollar fee to park your car..kind of nuts..but the hotel was great..
