Generally very good

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Situation and very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Free bottle of water in the room.
Location: Near gas lamp area (down town area).
Very well situated hotel. Clean, comfortable and with friendly staff. The only down sides are that the hotel opposite is noisy on Friday nights. The hotel charges 7 USD for a bottle of water in the room, to me this is outrageous, and certainly does not make me feel like a welcome guest.

Omni Hotel

The hotel is literally right next to Gaslamp. It was very convenient. However, the room was a little too ordinary for the price I paid for.

One night in San Diego

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Great location, very nicely decorated and very friendly people
Cons: Bathroom needs counter space, and additional plugs around the room.
Location: Famous Gas Lamp district. Pet Co Park is about 100 yards from the font door, Convention Center, Embarcadero, SD Bay, all right there.
Hotel did not seem too busy for it size, but was too busy to allow a 1 hour late check out. Bathroom in room has no place for your shaving kit. No counter space, just some little glass shelves. No place other than the bathroom to plug in the iron, either. Maybe it's just me, but I kicked the chair in the room every time I got out of bed; kind of cramped.

Overall was great the staff most of all the morning manager of the restaurant was great!! The one thing I didn't liked of the room is the sliding glass door of bathroom.. Not enough privacy there!! Hate it that, and you gotta get in mind for the lication can be noisy up to 2 am

Nice hotel, a little pricey!

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: The parking prices are outrageous per night, and you have to do valet to do the overnight parking.
Location: Right by the convention center and Gaslamp district, so many restaurants, bars, and shops in walking distance!! =)
Overall we had a good experience at this hotel. The rooms were nice and the beds were really comfortable. It is literally steps away from the Petco arena, gaslamp district, and San diego convention center. The parking prices are ridiculous, but that's what you get for that kind of location unfortunately.

Great place to stay!

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Location, nice rooms and accommodations, friendly and helpful staff.
Location: Next door to Petco Stadium - too bad the season hadn't started yet! At the end of Gaslamp district, close walk to Seaport Village.
My family of four stayed here on a Thursday and Friday night. Room was clean, beds were nice, staff was incredibly helpful, location was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to San Diego, with or without kids! Really liked that it was out of the "tourist" scene, but close enough to walk anywhere downtown and enjoy San Diego! A close drive to the zoo as well as the airport - very convenient!

It was a really nice hotel. Too much hype behind the omni name. I was expecting a bit more but it was nice. I am defitnantly staying there again.

Close to restaurants/bars

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Great location, but can be a little noisy with it being so close to the action. It might be different if I had a room on the other side of the building. Also, there were partyers yelling and running up and down the hall.

Would recommend!

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: location food helpfulness of staff
Cons: I thought there was a poolside cafe, but it did not exist. A real disappointment, so I hung out at the pool bar at the Hilton across the street
Location: Great! close to Gaslamp restaurants, stadium and convention center
Highly recommend this hotel if you are attending an event at the convention center. Excellent service. I had a party going on next door to my room, and the hotel staff were extremely responsive - moved me to a quiet room immediately -followed up with a wine and cheese plate the next day. Very professional and attentive staff. Be warned that although the bayview is beautiful, the trolley does ring- didn't bother me, but others may be concerned. (Hotel provides earplugs!)
