Great Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Location to Gaslamp Quarter and connection to Petco Park.
Location: Location is perfect for visiting the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego Zoo, Marina, & Old San Diego. If attending a game at Petco Park definitely stay here!
I was in town for a few days and picked this hotel due to it's proximity to the Gaslamp Quarter. I was very much amazed at it's true location upon my arrival. The staff was very welcoming and concierge helpful with inquiry regarding tours offered. Everything I needed was available within a short walk or drive. The entrance to the Gaslamp Quarter is literally a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The Convention Center is directly across the street and access to the trolleys is in the same vicinity. I'm a walker so I walked pretty much all of the Gaslamp Quarter in addition to the Marina as well as Marina Park. During my stay I also visited the zoo, the drive for which is relatively short, visited Old San Diego via trolley and went on a Seal Tour. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to San Diego.

Good Corporate Hotel

Busy, excellent access to Petco Park. Concierge helpful. Elevators ridiculously slow. Plan on 10 minutes wait at dinner time on weekends.

Close to everything

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Rooms were well-appointed, very comfortable beds.
Cons: Hard to say, because it was a busy night, but they could have planned better to accommodate guests who wanted to dine onsite.
Location: Petco Park, Gaslamp district and Convention Center within easy walking distance.
We booked a room here to go to the Paul McCartney concert in Petco Park. Everything went smoothly, as would be expected for the price of the hotel and parking. We ate dinner at Donovan's, a block away, the restaurant in house seemed overwhelmed with the number of people who wanted to dine. Overall, a pricey splurge that was worth it.

Omni was great!

Pros: Proximity to everything in San Diego. Pool and spa were sparkling clean.
Location: Make sure you try Bubs and Southpaw Social Club. Great food !
We loved our stay at the Omni! It was central to everything in San Diego! Room was very comfortable & we slept better than we have in a long time in their comfy bed. Will definitely be back!

W & B's Stay

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: The pool area was very nice with great food and drink service. Everyone at the hotel were very helpful.
Cons: The only thing we thought that could be improved upon was the fish smell coming from McCormick & Shmicks. It sits at the end of the lobby.
Location: See above
Stayed for two notes on the weekend in September. We attended Padres/Giants game on Saturday. I was a very nice experience. The hotel is adjacent to Petco Park. The Omni has a walkway to the park. All you need is a ticket to get in the park. No sales at this entrance. The hotel is adjacent to the light rail system that covers a large area of the city and is very inexpensive to use. The convention center is a short walk from the hotel and very convenient. The Gaslamp District starts right nest to the hotel and easy walking to all of its areas. Short ride from the airport and train station. Too many positives to cover. We had a great time!

Spacious king suite!

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Stayed in a spacious king suite. Clean room, friendly staff, excellent view of ocean. Walking to distance to everything gaslamp district has to offer. Would definitely stay here again. The only downfall is the parking - paid $38 for our one night stay. I am pretty sure all of the hotels near by have this sort of valet charge but $38 seemed a little steep. Overall a good experience though

Great location. Nice staffs. Comfy room

Posted Sep 15, 2014
The location was fantastic near everything. Room was clean and comfy. Refrirator in the room was kind of old and didn't really work. Tv Remote controls were out of battery. Swimming pool is very small compared to hotel size. Valet parking is $38 which was too much but theres a parking structure right across the street for $15 overnight. Overall, I had a great time with family including my 6 year old child. Nice weekend get away. San diego is a beautiful clean city for both relaxing and partying.
