Terrible facilities

Pros: just close to Beach and Freeway.
Cons: Everything(Cleaning, wireless)
Room not at all clean and found some insects and lot of dust within the room. No wireless working properly.

No cleaning service and just a "I'm sorry".

Pros: The hotel looks better than most Ramada's.
Cons: Fire the cleaning staff and start over. Have caring manager's with integrity.
Location: Carlsbad is a wonderful spot for beaches and food.
We checked in the first night and noticed the floor had Dorito pieces on it. We overlooked it. We spent the next day enjoying our vacation and came back to the hotel around 10:30 PM. The room was not serviced. Floor was still dirty, no towels to take a shower, bed not made and trash was full. I called the office and they said they were out of towels and would pool towels be okay? Mmm.... Alisa (the only good part of the experience) came to the room with beach towels with bleach spots on them, emptied the trash but left the dirty towels on the floor. The next day we asked for a partial refund but were told that because we booked through Expedia they could not give a refund. The manager added that she was sorry (not really). I called Expedia and was able to get a 15% refund on the 2 nights plus a $50 coupon. For me, it was principle matter. The hotel did not meet the minimum standard of a clean room. I've never had that happen in a hotel before.

Not what I expected

Pros: Pool was clean, the kitchenette was a plus.
Cons: Walls and windows thicker to muffle freeway noise.
Location: Close to LEGOLAND and beaches.
Hot tub out of order, shower curtain broken, Freeway noise was loud, Lacked blanket & pillows for pull out bed. On the plus side room was separated, so kids had there own room & TV and we had our own. Overall for price, it was not worth the stay.

Maybe I tend toward a little cheap, but for 145$ a night, I expect more than motel 6 quality- the air conditioning was extremely loud and the facilities were dated and old. The bed was hard and honestly, it just felt motel 6 level. Won't be going back...

Really could pick a better hotel than this one

Hotel old outdated very small rooms and beds no heated pool or jacuzzi. The bathroom was very small too shower water temperature always changing from hot to cold. Queen bed super small and hard. My advice stay elsewhere it isnt worth the money. Only one kid channel on the tv. Freezer didnt work at all.

Ramada Inn in Carlsbad, CA

Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Everything, starting with the exterior of the facility and landscaping.
Location: Location OK
This Ramada Hotel appeared to be on the verge of abandonment. The grounds and landscaping were unkempt, they ran out of towels, the lobby vending area was nearly empty, the computers were marginally functional, and they even failed to clean the room on the second day of our three-day stay. On a positive note, the breakfast was above average, but this failed to make up for the overall bad management.

Management seemed out to lunch

Pros: Convenient to Legoland
Cons: Someone needs to manage housekeeping.
Location: Legoland is two exits away on the freeway
Spent 5 nights at the hotel. The room had a queen bed and a sofa bed. When we pulled out the sofa bed there was no blanket. We didn't call about it because we arrived late and all fell asleep. The next day we left the room at 8:30am and returned at 8:00pm. No housekeeping. Tried to call to the front desk and received no answer. Went to front desk and got an extra blanket (that was supposed to be in the room). The next day housekeeping came while we were out. Cleaned the room fine but took all the dirty towels and didn't leave any clean ones. We ended up going to the front desk each day. Housekeeping showed up 2 of the 5 days. The hot tub was not working while we were there and there was no ETA as to when it would work. The whole place really needs a refresh. Doors had large scratches, shower dripped, remote controls not working upon arrival. Next time I'll stay elsewhere.

They allow pets & fleas

Pros: Most things except the fleas
Cons: No fleas-housekeep went home-no one could help Also Sunday after check in they couldn't provide extra pillow & blanket - even though we booked for 4
Flea bites Maybe this is my mistake for not checking if the allowed pets. Never needed to do so in the past however will start doing it in future. both my Son & I got numerous Flea bites all over - no we don't have pets & without this, it would have been much better or higher

Definitely not what I was expecting from a Ramada, very Motel 6 just a place to sleep.
