“A well kept secret”

This is truly a well hiddin secret. As I walked up to my room I thought this was going to be a classic nightmare. The buldings looked a little run down and old, but when I opened the door to our room it was actually very large and upgraded. You can tell its an older hotel, but seriously for a place to lay my head, shower and relax this was a great spot. It's right off the 163 and I thought for sure we were going to hear the traffic noise but we didn't. Coffee machines, microwave and Fridge in each room. Which by the way our fridge wasn't working and the staff was very prompt on changing ours out and getting us a new one. The bathroom needs a litte updating but over all it was a nice place. Parking was free, BIG PLUS for me, but it was hard to find a spot if you came in kinda late. It wasn't honestly wasn't to far of a walk or anything from the room. The only down fall I really had was the party they were having. We could hear the loud music and the people outside talking. We had to turn on the Air Unit in the window so we could drowned out the sound in order to fall asleep. Also the walls are a little thin and we could hear the people in the room next to us. No breakfast is offered but there are plenty of places around there to eat. After a long day of sight seeing this was a great little place to come home too. I will stay here again for sure. Great location and really close to everything!

“Great vacation stay!!!”

Wow! We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, its been our favorite hotel in our many visits to San Diego. Great neighborhood, safe and well lit, with many restaurants and stores nearby. Our room, clean and well updated, nice to come home to. The staff was friendly and always available. Our family loved it, and are looking forward to coming back for future visits! I would highly recommend this hotel to couples and families, know you will be really happy in this hotel...even your car will be safe.

“Beautiful and GREAT for the cost.”

Beautiful grounds, wonderful pool area, accommodations were listened to and given a room near pool, only problem there was no breakfast given here but then it was a great deal on price for the area- located close to everything and easy to get to with a GPS. Loved it.

“Best value!”

My family of four stayed here while we were in San Diego. The price was right and it was nice to have freeway access. The room was great! It had fresh paint, vaulted ceilings, and a great layout which made it very roomy. However, the pool is not heated and we were not able to use it during our stay. We did however, enjoy the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay!

“Decent for trhe price”

It's not exactly in the hotel circle, but it's pretty close to everything else. Onlt 10 to 15 min from downtown, zoo, sea world. Also, it was next to the freeway so getting around was smooth. Another nice thing is that it is close to shopping area for food and stuff.

“Great hotel”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ramada. Beds were really comfortable. The room was really nice and clean. But the refrigerator was not really cold. And I kinda got ingnored by the woman at the front desk. But everyone else there was really nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay at the Ramada again. On our stay we went to the Sunset Cliffs and the San Diego Zoo. And it was a short 10 minute drive away. Freeways are all conveniently located.

“7 miles to the beach!”

Here is a great place to stay, very accomadating in every way. And priced reasonably too! Close to all San Diego activities. Big hotel ammenities, with a small comfortable hotel attitude. I will stay here when I return to Southern California.

“Clean & comfortable hotel with great breakfast”

My husband and I stayed at the Ramada Conference Center for our recent baby moon in San Diego. I typically do a lot of research into hotels before I book them. After reading all the reviews on the Ramada, I went ahead and booked there. We were not disappointed. The room was very large, clean, and well-maintained. It had all the basic amenities to make our stay convenient - having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was really helpful and we were able to save leftovers from our huge Mexican dinners and eat them the next day. Bathroom was sizable. No tub, which wasn't a problem for us. The shower had slightly low water pressure, but everything was squeaky clean which I appreciated. As many other reviewers have commented on, the breakfast here is a great deal for <$7. We ate there every morning even though there's a Denny's right down the street (my husband's favorite place for breakfast). The grounds are pleasant - very well maintained lawn/plants, and the pool area looked like a great place to relax although with our busy sightseeing schedule we didn't have any time to lounge. As far as general location, the Ramada is not in an area where you can just stroll out of the hotel and find things to do. With a car however, it is conveniently located right off the freeway and has very easy access to Old Town, SeaWorld, Balboa Park, Qualcomm Stadium, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay at the Ramada again on our next stay in San Diego!
