Wouldn't stay againPosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Nothing that would bring me back.
Cons: Attention to detail, cleanliness, breakfast selection should include fruit, faster service, better effort to meet customer's needs.
This hotel was poorly kept, with new furnishings and linens that attempted to cover that. The attention to detail and corners they cut were obvious, and made you wonder what other corners were cut in cleanliness. The hallway floors were always dirty and scuffed, as were the walls. The room itself smelled like secondhand smoke despite being non-smoking, the shower drain was slow, the bathroom and entry way floor grout was gross, and we listened to a combination of traffic just under our window and every voice/door closing outside our room as clear as day. The continental breakfast had a fair selection of carbohydrates.

Rundown hotel in ugly part of townPosted Jul 8, 2014
The room was ok. The bathroom was very tight. The hotel was in a shady part of town. The hotel grounds were dirty, old and it has been the worst Ramada hotel we have stayed at.

The Ramada at San Diego AirportPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: It's proximity to the airport.
Location: It is on the Harbor with a pleasant view of the fishing boats coming in to port.
This is a great place to stay to catch an early morning flight. This includes free shuttle to airport.

Pleasant staffPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Staff was accommodating
Cons: Noise level on room 109 The coffee is very week. Take some soluble coffee to add taste to it.
I reserved the room for 4 adults and one child and was quoted for that number of persons but when we arrived Ramada indicated that the roller bed for my son was not included in the price. I called Expedia to complain and after a long time on the phone, with the representative and the manager on duty, was given a voucher for a future room. I would like to see all the hidden charges shown upfront so I can make a decision what hotel better fits my budget.

Bare bones placePosted May 27, 2014
Our room had no carpeting nor did the hall nor room above. It was VERY noisy. There were no drapes, just old mini-blinds. The room was small as was the bathroom.

Strange place, good locationPosted May 14, 2014
Pros: I was not impressed by the hotel at all.
Cons: Should put curtains or something to cover that room up that you can see in to. Very unprofessional.
The hotel was close to our destination. It was strange though, by the pool area there was an old restaurant and you could see right in to the "maintenance" room. There was mattresses, equipment, construction equipment, extra things. It looked like a dumping ground. The rooms were so close together, you could hear right in to the other rooms. The layout was confusing and difficult to find your room. You had to take the steps for the most part, but there were parts where you could use the steps.

Nice for an inexpensive placePosted May 13, 2014
Room was small but comfortable. Needs upgrading. Breakfast was above average. Staff very friendly and helpful. Directly across street from harbor and dock, and nice casual seafood restaurant.

Cons: The doors to the room seem a bit insecure, but not terribly so
The room, from the outside, can look a bit run down, but in reality, it was quite comfortable for how small it was. Access to the bay is perfect and, I mean, it's San Diego.

WORST hotel I have EVER stayed at!!Posted May 4, 2014
Cons: service, cleanliness, elevator that fits 2 people & sounds like it's going to break between floors, the "free wifi" (lobby only!)
Location: Location is much further from downtown than expected. Harbor across the way is nice and some good restaurants over there.
Rundown hotel w/ rudest staff I've ever encountered in the "hospitality" industry. Finding the lobby itself was awkward as you end up walking through the laundry area if you don't know your way around. We stood at front desk 10 min while mgr & another employee were listening to a help desk message on speaker phone play repeatedly. When finally addressed we were told they could issue us a room but no keys til later as they're having trouble programming room keys. Said we'd come back later for the keys as not to inconvenience them by having staff have to unlock our room. When we did return, we got our keys & went to our room to discover AC unit was making loud noise. My husband discovered culprit was piece of the unit that had been scotch taped to hold it shut. Went back to desk & said we needed different room since no way we could sleep w/ that noise. They offered "charged upgrade" by the harbor. We ok'd. After 1st night in room we knew it was a downgrade. Noisy AC replaced by slightly less noisy AC, very loud road noise, nonstop maid carts being wheeled on tile floors, etc. took shower in am to discover 1 bath towel! Keys didn't work 2nd night and waited 30 min for staff to unlock our room. Told mgmt @checkout & employee asked why we complained now after 2nd night about towels! I said I told maid & it was fixed but what about everything else? Mgr told employee "I know what they're doing. This is why I say don't do upgrades" implying we lied to avoid paying for "upgrade"!!!
