“SUPRISED”
I was surprised when I opened the room door and saw a spacious suite with a dining table, desk with FREE INTERNET connection, sleeper sofa, 32" flat screen TV and a kitchen area complete with stove top, sink, dishwasher, microwave & refrigerator with a ice maker and all cooking and eating equipment. The view from the room was onto the pool/spa area which also has a hugh fire pit, deluxe seating & BBQ pit. The bedroom was good with a queen bed & 4 pillows & 32" flat screen. Bathroom is split into a make up area & tub /shower & toilet. Hotel comped breakfast & happy hour. Breakfast menu is complete from fruit to eggs, ceral , pancakes, waffles etc. Happy hour Mon.-Thurs includes beer, wine, soda Burgers & Hot Dogs. Elevators are everywhere. Self Parking is $$ @ day. Walking distance to many attactions. Now the BAD NEWS. Train noise early in the morning, air conditioner is located in a closet in the bedroom & is noisy. Installing KING SIZE BEDS would be a plus.
“Nice comfortable family hotel”
This is a fabulous hotel if you are bringing the family. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The daily hot morning breakfast bar far exceeded any expectations we had and so saved a lot of money by merely eliminating the need to go out and purchase that meal. Although it rained/sprinkled periodically the entire extended weekend we were there, the kids still got to swim in the heated pool when the weather was accommodating.
“Best hotel by far”
I felt like I was home great breakfast buffet great shuttle service and awesome customer service they really do make you feel comfortable every thing is around you great location late night snack jack in the box is right next i will keep on staying at this hotel every time I visit San Diego again recommend it to every one
“I found a new favorite San Diego Hotel!”
It surpassed my every expectation. Wonderfully helpful staff. Beautiful room. Excellent guest services.
“Great location”
Great staff. Good breakfast. Great value for the money. Couldn't pick a better location for seeing the downtown, Seaport Village and Balboa Park. Ask front desk for directions. We stayed in an upgraded room facing the main street. The room was large, well disgned and great for either famlies or busness.
“Very nice hotel!”
We have tried several hotels in San Diego and this is the best priced hotel according to what we look for on our stays in the city. It is the second time I stay here with my family and we just love it. We were pleasantly surprised when we were told they had taken the liberty to upgrade our regular suite to a 2 bedroom suite for the same price. Nice 32" LG LCD televisions on each room, nice full kitchen, very good complimentary breakfast buffet. The only bad thing is the sofabed, very uncomfortable, but almost all sofabeds are so we supposed this one would not be the exception. There's a Jack in the Box steps away and a 7-Eleven just around the corner. Parking spaces could be wider on one of the two parking lots available. We will stay here next time we visit San Diego, for sure.
“Wonderful stay in San Diego!”
Husband and I had booked in advance and then because of flight problems called to cancel one night, then finding out we were going to make it to San Diego after all we called again, they were glad to send the shuttle for us and when we arrived at the hotel they upgraded our room with a balcony and view of the bay,,the staff was tremoundous. They offered great advice on the different tours of the city and gave us coupons along with the free shuttle, it made our stay wonderful,, very friendly, knowledge of the city tours, and places to eat. will recommend to anyone,,,
“Loved it cant wait to come back”
It was very nice, staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the free breakfast was great. our room was sooo cozy great to come back to after a long day out in Gorgeous san diego.
“A Great Stay”
Location was perfect for waterfront activities, dining in Little Italy, and public transportation. We didn't bring a car and didn't need one. Pool and hot tub were perfect; breakfast was dandy. Note that there is train noise during the day - the tracks are right behind the hotel - this didn't bother us, as we had a train lover in our party, but it might bother some.
