“Clean, Quite and Enjoyable stay.”
My experience with Rodeway Inn, Escondido CA has been anything but consistent; but this is definitely one of the BETTER ONES. The staff at the front desk on CHECH INN and CHECK OUT was both courteous and efficient, despite having to juggle a mini-rush both times. The room had been well maintained, and there was no noticeable smell. The room was spacious, clean and tidy and the Bathroom tub and tile were spotless. The bed was comfortable. The room was full of amenities like Two Queen Beds, Cable/satellite TV, Phone, Iron/ironing board, Air conditioning.. Hotel Location is safe and great, Very convenient location and located in good part of the town! Even the Police Head Quarter is two blocks away. I was pleasure staying at Rodeway Inn, Escondido CA. I recommend this hotel to every one.
“Fine for a 2 star hotel”
This is a 2 star hotel and for a 2 star it was clean and affordable. I chose to move to a 3 star however for my next trip. I'm just more comfortable with indoor corridors and few more amenities...but I paid for them, too. So this hotel was inexpensive and a good, clean place to stay.
“Needs alarm clocks”
The hotel was better than expected, very clean, nice amenities (refrig, microwave, coffee maker) and a comfortable bed. The only strike against them was that there was no alarm clock in the room and they neglected to call me for my wake up call. Fortunately, I woke up in time to make my flight. The front desk clerk seemed to still be asleep when I checked out at 6:15 am.
“Ok for a short stay”
The room was a little cramped as it had a king size bed. Shower only, no bathtub. The light bulb in the closet was burned out the entire time we were there, told them about it numerous times but it was never replaced. It would have been a good place for a short stay. It did have a small refrigerator and microwave.
“will stay here only if needed”
When I viewed the hotel online it seemed pretty impressive. When we checked in the lobby was really small and it smelled. When we walked in our room it was much smaller than we thought. It's clean but it's an older building. What we did like was the comfort of the bed. Overall, we will stay here again only if needed.
“Continental breakfast a pathetic joke”
First, the positives. Check-in was easy as was the check-out. The room was quiet and clean, there was a fridge in the room, and the bed was comfortable. However, the door deadbolt was broken, the heat bulb in the bathroom didn't work, and there was no coffeemaker, though it was mentioned in the description. But the worst was the continental breakfast, which was merely a small assortment of pastries, coffee and orange "juice" that was nothing like juice, but rather a sickeningly sweet orange-colored water. No cereal or oatmeal, like you'd get in most places advertising a continental breakfast. And it was served in the small, cramped front office with no place to sit down.
“80's re-due”
Main room: pillows where hard like a cinder bloc, blanket was stained. Fabric on the two chairs was worn and faded, lights where extremly bright an no way to dim them. Television from the 1980's did work but not HD, the remote was held together with scotch tape. Closet area: No light in this area at all difficult to see what was hanging there. Air conditioner was old did not work corectly, made a noise and had two settings to cold or off. Bathroom: Had a window but no screen in the window, the heat lamp had been removed so no heat in bathroom, shower head aligned incorrectly and water came our bad, very bad.
“not impressed”
Sign says Hotel has been renovated! This place is nothing more than a dumpy motel. Very old furniture, wall molding is missing in places and place is in bad need of painting.
“I would have rather slept in my car..”
This hotel was creepy!! There was a stain on one of the towels which looked like blood or something of that nature. After taking a shower the tub wouldn't drain. The water remained in the tub all the way until the morning and throughout the night I kept hearing dripping coming from it. I didn't even want to take my shoes off or sleep in the bed for that matter. I would honestly sleep in my car next time if I had a choice to stay there.
