Rodeway Hotel

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: They could use cleaning supplies with less dense and pungent smell.
Location: It's close to all major freeway in San Diego.
overall it was a nice little hotel, considering it's a motel chain actually. The room was clean, the smell from the room cleaning was too strong though.

nice hotel for good weekend get a way

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: easy access on and off the freeway 5mins to beach area 20-30mins to zoo
Hotel was clean rooms were clean. beds very comfortable for a good night sleep. breakfast was included in the price of hotel room. thou breakfast area is a little small however you can always take it back to your room. One thing I didn't understand is you provide a credit card or debit card for payment at the beginning of your stay yet you still had to provide a 50dollar deposit that was put back on your card when you checked out. that I don't understand. most places when you pay with a credit card or debit they if there is any charges needed to be added they would just add to your card at check out.

Mini vacation. Two days

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: The office receptionist was very pleasant. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.
Cons: The T.V. was on the wall, making it difficult to see if you were sitting at the desk. Would be benefical to have the T.V. on a sliding wall mount.
Location: freeway close to most points of intrest
First time staying at a Roadway Inn. Would stay again if all are as nice as this one. Not hotel comfort, but good for highway travel and lodging.

Good if you are on a tight budget.

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: The room was clean and the breakfast was good.
Cons: The shower didn't work so I had to take a bath. I hate baths!
Location: Fairly easy to get to, right off interstate 8. It was an easy 10-20 minute drive to most of sights we wanted to visit (Belmont Park, Seaworld, etc).
This hotel worked well for us since all we needed was a place to sleep. If I were going to need to spend more time in the room I may have selected differently. The room was clean and updated with good size dorm fridge and microwave. Our room was on the back side of the hotel and could hear the interstate traffic pretty clearly. Luckly I am a heavy sleeper. Overall, this was one of the better rooms I have stayed in on my tight budget.

The first night the toilet backed up

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Grabbed every towel to sop up the water and the manager said maintenance wasn't there and handed us a plunger and more towels. We were there for the Holiday Bowl, was 11pm and didn't think we should have dealts with this mess. My husband spent an hour cleaning up the mess and fixing their toilet. At check out, my husband asked if they were going to somehow make this right and they told us they don't issue credits when you book through Expedia. Urgh! We understand the hotel was sold out due to the bowl event. Breakfast was crowded, had to wait for a table.

Gets the job done

Posted Dec 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
We chose this hotel for it's location which is about 10 minutes from Qualcomm stadium. The room was neat and clean and a bit small, but okay for the two of us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good… we had waffles. The location is mostly residential with apartments across the street.

Probably good for people going to football game

Posted Dec 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here during a trip for a job interview. The hotel is very close to the stadium where the Chargers play, and my first night there was a Sunday that happened to also be a game day. That night there was definitely a handful of rowdy football fans who seemed to have had a little too much fun at the game. I think if you're staying here any night other than a game day weekend, it would be a decent enough place.

Slow to get room clean, was trashed by previous.

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Continental breakfast good
Cons: More comfortable beds .
Location: Close to Qualcomm stadium, 1 mile from MTS trolley station. Close to a Mission valley & shopping center.
Continental breakfast was good. Bed.s were hard & not real comfortable. Outside parking lot had areas where people had vomited. Stains on carpet .
