There was no coffee and no breakfast altho the website says there is. The room had no seating area so the only place to sit to watch tv was on the bed and the pillows were not supportive enough. A bit disappointing.

Second floor room (2 beds) was much better than 1st floor (1 bed). First floor room smelled damp, some spiders and cockroaches were there, spiderwebs were not removed from vanity lamps etc. Noisy due to the proximity of a highway. Easy access to everything in the city. Stayed there for the Ironman 70.3, location was convenient. Served the purpose. Staff was nice and helpful.

Our room had a broken chair, a bathroom door that would stick making it difficult to exit, the shroud on there airl conditioning unit was not attached and the pillows were rock hard.

The building is run down bungalow style. Carpet felt filthy. Unpatched holes in walls. Clean tub, shower, sink; sheets ok, but blanket left me uncertain. Nice view of harbor. No coffee in room or lobby. Water tastes poor. This was bottom end of suitable at mid price. Next trip, spend $10 more and go next door.

More than adequate for the price
Spent 2 nights in room 111, a set of rooms that overlook the San Luis Rey River. The room was quirky but very functional. There was no closet but a patio that looks to the NW. The room had been renovated and you can see that there has been an effort to really rehab the structurally old facility. For the price, it was a good value. However, contrary to some websites, there is not coffee or breakfast. I was directed to a restaurant down the street for that. Certainly not a deal breaker for me but just be aware of that when making reservations.

We stayed only one night. The toilet had human waste in it with a Sanitized strip on it. Lamp shades were very worn; bathroom sink was small and low.
