Great Hotel!

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: The hotel is beautiful inside and has everything you need! The pools are beautiful and the fire pits around the pools are great.
Cons: They REALLY need to wash the outside windows - apart from that - everything was terrific!
Location: RIght on the water and close to EVERYTHING! It was awesome!
The hotel is beautiful inside and the pools are incredible! We loved this hotel! They have a little cafe across from Starbucks with great gluten-free egg and cheese flatbreads for breakfast so if you're Celiac or wheat intolerant, this hotel is terrific as the restaurants are also conscientious of people with food issues.

Spring Vacation

Posted Apr 2, 2014

Location: Next to convention center, gas lamp quarters, petco park, marina, mall, etc.
Hotel offers excellent amenities, (ie. pool area, fitness room and resturant/bar lounge). It is located close to all the great things San Diego has to offer.

Pros: Great views, near city center, within walking distance of dining and shopping.

Pretty...Pretty nice

Posted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Pools. Marina kitchen restaurant was great. Location in gas lamp quarter was perfect. Close to many attractions
Cons: Lower parking fee for hotel guests.
Location: Gas lamp quarter, Corranado island, all the navy stuff, Petco park are all walking distance. Balboa Park, Seaworld, Zoo also very close.
Stayed here with my wife and 3 yo. Definitely a classy joint with a business customer feel but also kid friendly enough. We stayed here for the location and the pools and we were not disappointed. Very nice gym facility as well. Was originally disappointed the wireless was not free in the rooms but maybe that is not common in San Diego; I think it was $10-15 a day. There was free service in the lobby so no big deal. The $28/day parking fee also seemed excessive but maybe I am just cheap. All in all there was not much to complain about.

Friendly staff, great location a 24 hour food bar for room delivery or self pick up. Roy's located on the hotel grounds. Enjoyed the balcony on our harbor view room. Easy access to the trolley and the Coaster. The only negative a fee for in room WIFY.

Crown Jewel of the San Diego Waterfront

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Location is outstanding. Ocean view rooms worth the money. Clean and up to date.
Cons: Food and drink service at the pool. Most resorts offer a roving girl or two that take drink orders at the pool
Location: Gaslamp is good if you want food and drinks. Waterfront trail offers lots of sites. We enjoyed Little Italy and Old Town
Stayed for a weekend in March of 2014. From the moment we exited our car we felt welcomed and at home. The staff is very accommodating and sincerely want to make the experience as pleasant as possible. It is ideally located on the water by convention center, the trolly, and the waterfront walking paths. We especially appreciated the valet staff who were prompt and friendly. Sitting by the outdoor bar in the evening is both pleasant and fun. There was a constant presence of security that made my wife feel comfortable without being intrusive.

Beautiful view & within walking distance of water

Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the very reasonable rates, the gorgeous view, the pool, and the location.
Cons: I honestly can not think of one thing that would need to be improved upon.
Location: Within walking distance of the Gas Lamp district, the Sea Port Village, boat cruises, the navy ship museum, & very close to the bay.
I loved how close the hotel was close to many things that you could just walk too, such as the Gas Lamp District and the north & south bays. The staff were friendly and very helpful at any time of the day or night. The food was delicious and the view from my room of the bay was absolutely gorgeous. I am definitely going to return to San Diego and will stay at the Marriott Marquis.
