“Great location”

A great B&B with a beautiful view. Fantastic location at the beach. The Continental breakfast was not impressive, but that was the only negative. The room was maintained extremely well, the price was great, and it was within walking distance of the town. We had a fantastic time.

This was one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed! The rooms were extremely nice with all the amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the area and wonderful recommendations for places to eat. The view from the property cannot be beat. We had never been to this area before and were in awe of the coastal area. Overall a wonderful experience. The Scripp's Inn is more along the lines of a B & B than a hotel/motel but not like staying in someone's home. Very quaint, quiet and romantic.

What a location! The nearby shopping area of La Jolla is so quaint and beautiful. Our stay was only for one short night but it was great going to bed with the sounds of the ocean waves lulling you to sleep! Our very clean, welcoming room, while not quite overlooking the ocean, still had a nice view of it as the Inn is just across the street from the Pacific. We would have loved to stay a second night but the room we wanted was already booked. The continental breakfast provided a nice start to the day. We are already planning our return trip at a time when there is a full moon - that would be an awesome sight, watching it rise over the ocean! Hopefully we can get one of the ocean-facing rooms as these seem to book out early!

It was exactly what we were looking for. All the comforts of home. I would recommend it to everyone.

“Peaceful and Relaxing Weekend Trip”

The hotel is perfectly located right across the street from the ocean. The room was wonderful. Very clean and spacious. Walking distince to prospect st. where all the shopping and restaurants is only 5 minutes. Overall, my girlfriend and I had a great time and where very happy about our hotel selection.

“Hidden gem”

Great service. A great value in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Loved everything about my stay. This is a very hard area to park and they also have a private lot.

“Great hotel for everyone”

We had a pleasant stay there, our kids loved the beach just steps from our room, and we loved the sound of the ocean :) The room is nice, we had n1, two bedrooms and a comfortable living area, only one minor thing, there is only 3 chair in the room:( but the small kitchen is well equipped. We stayed one day longer than the original plan and enjoyed the sunsets:))

“Great location. Comfortable room. A little noisy”

Pros: great location and very comfortable room but the Cons are: very tight parking and a small breakfast nook (the manager's office!). Very nice overall!

“Great location”

Very hospitable host. Amazing location and great rooms. Was perfect to grab a cup of coffee and walk across the street to go watch the sunset and do a picnic breakfast on the bench in the morning.
