Disappointed

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Include parking fees into the price of the room or offer free parking. Clean all of the surfaces in the bathrooms better. Get more comfortable beds.
Location: There is a decent amount of shopping and dining locations nearby. Plus Downtown San Diego is only about a 15 minute drive away.
The location of the hotel is great. It is close to shopping and restaurants. It is also close to a major freeway providing quick access to Downtown San Diego. However, the bed wasn't very comfortable and neither were the pillows. In addition we found hair from someone else in our shower, which was gross. I also felt that it was a bit overpriced. I have stayed in much nicer hotels in nicer areas for significantly less money.

It was great for the price. Hotel is simple but clean, comfortable and located in an area close to restaurants and supermarkets. Recommended.

Pros: We ate at the restaurant on several occasions - food was great and Lucy is a fabulous waitress.
The rooms facing the garden /pool are much better than the rooms facing outward.

Nice location near dining, shopping, events. Pool area showing age - needs work. Rooms looking dated as well. Lush garden area. Staff is friendly.

And I thought La Jolla was the Georgetown mascot

Only stayed one night. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Errors were promptly corrected. Nice room .Terrific bed. Make sure you check your bill if you have a prepaid reservation. They apparently use a variety of reservations, some with partial deposits and the computer can get them mixed up.

It was great. We celebrated our wedding here 10 years ago and it was nice to revisit it.

Best Deal for New Years!

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The tropical setting. It felt like Hawaii minus the heat!
I love great service and great deals and the Sheraton La Jolla offers both. The property is gorgeous and the staff provided excellent service. We had our new years eve dinner at the restaurant and while the portions were ample the menu had slim pickings if you don't eat beef, pork or seafood. The bar next door was in full on karoke mode and wonderfully festive with the spirit of new year's eve. Check out is noon at this hotel, which gave us time to hit the gym and grab breakfast before heading off to explore La Jolla cove on New Year's day. This hotel is really close to the highway too, with lots of attractions in either direction. I have already recommended this place to clients and friends and we will definitely stay here again.
