Ok hotel, great staff, no downtown shuttles.

Pros: Friendly staff, nice sports bar(brian-bartender?? was great) Jessica(manager), Paul(bell hop/concierge)
Cons: update hotel, set up rooms correctly, offer shuttle service the 2.5 miles to downtown.
Location: Staying at a hotel for a conference should offer convenience to local entertainment, restaurants and sites. There was nothing convenient here.
Well... lets just say I was underwhelmed from the beginning. I get to the hotel after a delayed flight, sitting on tarmac in Houston for 2 hours. Upon arrival I get checked in fairly quickly. I carry my luggage to my room on the far side of the hotel and the room isn't correct. I reserved a king size/accessible room(as I've had back and hip surgeries and require another surgery in the near future)...2 full beds in a cramped room. So I carry my bags back to the front desk and speak with a young man and was told they have nothing for me and my reservations meant nothing. I finally speak with Jessica(great help) the front desk manager and she finds me a room. So I again carry my bags to the room and what do I find.... the same type room. So I call and she apologizes(system showed was a king). She sends up Paul(great employee). He checks room and gets my bags and apologizes. We get to the room and yes it's a King size bed. It has a huge accessible bathroom but the room is so tight and confined I had to turn sideways to get past the wardrobe to the room. For all my issues Paul was able to get me "1" complimentary breakfast(for which he even apologized. My stay gets even better. On Tuesday night at 140am I am awoken by the sounds of a commercial pressure cleaner, cleaning the driveway to the hotel!!!!!! Isn't San Diego under water restrictions? The AC in the room put out little to no air volume so i had to keep sliding door open. I could go on but I'm limited on characters.

Food in restaurant is good! Wi-Fi is good for texting but don't expect to be able to run video smoothly.

Issues with check out. The hotel system was down. Charged for parking each day. Hotel service always late. Front desk people slow and unresponsive. This hotel was not worth the price. Not worth half the price. Should have stayed at the Hilton.

Very nice room with a good view. Staff was nice and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. restaurants on site were good as well.

The Good: The staff here was phenomenal. I'm speaking from the valet parking staff to the front desk... everyone!! Good personnel goes a looooong way. Being by the marina made it cool to go for a quick walk and look at the boats. The Bad: Facilities could use a facelift. We were in the lanai section and its borderline motel-ish. We were put in a room in front of the ice machine and when guests were getting their ice, we could sure hear it. There is also an airport by this hotel and planes are coming and going... but strangely, they were that much of a nuisance.

Conference only Hotel

Conference held at the hotel dominated every venue. Making the hotel amenities useless. Had to order my meal to go in order to find a place to eat. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on my experience.

Cons: No free wifi in room.
Location: airport, Balboa park, San Diego Zoo.
Comfortable, clean, good view and location. The room is a little bit smaller than I expected.

Very close to everything. Quiet and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was right.
