Hotel OK...BAD SERVICE

Location: location is great
The hotel is very old, but is clean...the things I can not understand is that they don't have Bell men or valet guys...you have to carry your luggage and park your own car...not nice at all

Dear k, Thank you for writing a review regarding your recent stay at the Sheraton Mission Valley Hotel. Please allow me to apologize for the construction noise that you experienced during your stay. We are in the process of installing a new, third elevator and that is where the construction noise came from. If you experienced the noise prior to 9:00 am, then that is completely our fault. The contractors are instructed to only conduct noisy work after 9:00 am. If this was the case, I sincerely apologize. I have reiterated this with the construction foreman and he has apolgized as well. I realize this does not change your experience, however, we would certainly be appreciative for another opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the future when the construction is completed. Nice rooms, excellent staff.

Pros: The staff was excellent.
Cons: Construction while you are staying in a hotel is not ideal, but the impact was minimal.
Location: There is an enterprise rent a car next door, highly recommend renting a car if you don't have one with you. Easy quick access to Hillcrest.
The hotel was in the middle of a remodel and it was an extremely busy weekend when we arrived, but the staff shined through. Very well run hotel.

So-so for Sheraton Hotel.

We were supposed to have two rooms next to each other but they didn't have it available until day three of our four day stay. Our first room was freezing and we couldn't change the temperature. We also asked for some extra hand towels and the front desk said 'you may get them.' Never got the extra hand towels. Only had one when you should have at least four. Funny thing is when we were at the front desk, another customer was complaining that he never hit towels when he asked for them! Finally, when I called to inquire about changing rooms, whoever I talked to sounded put out because I was asking in the first place. Horrible customer service except for Midge who was very nice.

Holiday visit to relatives

Over New Year's visit--room was fine. Help were very pleasant. Room was quite cold, however, as heat doesn't seem to work too well. Lot of noise if you're facing the freeway, even on the 9th floor.

I am happy to hear that you were satisfied with your guest room and that the staff was pleasant to work with. I am disappointed that the heat in your room did not work well. We were having issues with our hot water boiler during this time which affected certain areas of the hotel. I realize this does not help your experience but the boiler has since been repaired. With regards to the street noise, we are getting to each room on the street side and re-caulking all the seals around the windows for better soundproofing. Thank you again for your comments. Modern hotel, great pool, near shopping.

Pros: Very nice staff. Elegant lobby. Dogs are free. DON't like their charging for parking--go to the back of the hotel and sneak into staff parking.
Cons: Noisy due to closeness to I-8, even in rooms. Very cold in our room as the window didn't close well, and it was freezing outside.
We visited family nearby over the holidays--coldest snap in decades. Great New Year's celebrations there. We like to go there as we can take our small dog for free. It is very close to the cheaper stores--Target, Nordstroms Rack, Macys.

Best customer service!

I stayed here on NYE, and i had the best experience. The hotel is very nice and clean. And it's around everything which makes It very convenient. Downtown is only 5 miles away so the cab was only $10! The front desk was wonderful!! David was great !! If he's not a manager he should be! He was very nice, friendly and funny. Best experience and customer service.

What a great hotel.

Pros: Clean, spacious rooms
Spent the past weekend with my son - took in an NFL game. Hotel staff and friendly - we felt very welcomed. Across the freeway, from the hotel, is a large mall and the trolley system. Qualicom Stadium is 3 stops away (about 10 minutes) and about a 1/2 hour to the USS Midway Museum (opposite way). It should noted that you pass the "Old Town" station. If you get off at that station you have access to some great restaurants. The breakfast buffet is simple, tasty and priced right. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone.

Location: Try Bullys tavern best Prime Rib in town l
