Staybridge

One Saturday night stay

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Free breakfast
Location: Plenty of local shopping and eating places.
We stayed one night. Room with one queen bed and one sofa bed. I had to call to get linens for the sofa bed, but they arrived within minutes. Breakfast was great. Very clean place.

Great room. Bad breakfast buffet

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Breakfast buffet selection and food quality was so bad that we had to leave to get breakfast. Also they ran out of waffle mix in the 2nd hour of breakfast. Not planned well either. Will definitely not come back for the buffet.

Better than we expected!

Posted Oct 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel was amazing. We were put in a handicapped room which was even better because it was so spacious. The beds were comfortable. Only thing - the bed in the couch didn't have a sheet which was kind of weird. Not sure if that is standard. The kitchen was clean but the microwave did smell like chicken but I am sure it is hard to get that smell out. The bathroom was huge and our view was nice. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that creeped us out was it was right next to two mental hospitals. Other than that our stay was better than expected. Oh! And we ate at Islands around the corner, it was a splendid experience and the burgers were amazing.

Nice Hotel

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Décor, cleanliness
Location: Very quiet area. Close to shopping and a variety of dining options.
We stayed here one night and were very pleased with the hotel. We he have stayed at several hotels in the SD area and this was one of our favorites. We have small children and I'm always concerned with cleanliness of rooms even at hotels where we paid more than this one. I have to say I wasn't worried about my kids walking around at this hotel. The décor was updated and it didn't have that hotel smell. The beds were comfortable and the free breakfast wasn't bad. The room itself was a good size. We will definitely stay here again. It was in a quiet area yet close to various restaurants and stores.

We had a two room suite, very nice.

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Location: There were restaurants and shopping nearby. Costco and Claim Jumper about a block away and 15-20 restaurants and shops off the main boulevard
The hotel is tucked away in a business district near a couple behavioral health facilities, but it was quiet (no traffic noise). Hotel was clean as was room - we had 2 room suite so it was at the end of the long hallway. One room on each side of the living area with separate bathrooms. One bathroom shower stall only other had a tub. Kitchen wasn't bad, cooktop, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes. You could do minimal cooking. Pool was clean and nice after a hot day. Too hot for it during our stay, but would have liked a hotel with a hot tub.

Great place

I needed a place to stay that accepted dogs. This place was far from where I needed to be, but once I checked in I realized it was worth the drive north of San Diego. Beautiful neighborhood, lots of shopping and food real close. Will definitely stay again.

Surpassed Our Expectations

Posted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
The lady at the registration was excellant, her name is Nancy. Our room was super clean and Nancy inspected the room before she assigned it, now that was a first! The hotel is well maintained in its entirety. I was impressed by the quietness of the property. We loved our suite. My baby said oooooh! as we walked in. And, of course, breakfast is always a plus. This is the best hotel by far in the area. I will stay here again.
