“Highly recommended upscale resort”

The resort was beautiful, and was not overcrowded. The dining options were excellent onsite, but it was easy to go downtown to La Jolla or Del Mar to experience the towns also. The location was great for what we wanted to accomplish on our vacation, and the resort so good that we could have had a great time never leaving it. There are activities available for very active guests as well as those just looking to relax. I appreciated the daily fitness classes as well.

“American version of a spectacular Italian Villa”

The service and the surroundings were beyond anything I have ever experienced. They had such wonderful food, lodging, and activities. We hiked a nearby trail everyday and my child went on a lovely pony ride. The pool areas were divine, heated and family friendly. I cannot wait to go back. None of us wanted to leave.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms immaculate and the setting lovely -- but what really made the hotel stand out was the quality of the service. The staff was amazing -- the standard of service was outstanding. Highly recommend the hotel - it was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in.

I have never written a review about a hotel before, but have to spread the word. This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment we stepped in the door, until we left three days later, we felt special.. Everything was a treat. there were little gifts in the room for my children, the valets gave us bottled water every time we were leaving for a day of sightseeing, the concierge staff was great. The pool was magnificent and not crowded. The restaurants were great. Just perfect in my book.

This is serious 5-star resort hotel. Restaurant Addison is one of the best in California. Golf course is incredible. Spa was excellent. People could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

“Very beautiful hotel and grounds”

The entire hotel, common areas, rooms and the grounds are exceptionally beautiful. Restaurant food (Amaya and Clubhouse) food very good. Amaya a little overpriced. Our room overlooked a garden/courtyard and we loved it. Very quiet in the room even with parties in other parts of the hotel. Really enjoyed the adult saltwater pool and spa area. Would love to go back.

“Grand Del Mar visit”

this is unquestionably the best hotel that we have stayed at. we have stayed at Four Seasons and Ritz Carltons all over the world. The Grand del Mar is a standout in that regard. It really is THAT GOOD! if you dont stay at the Grand Del Mar, you are missing out on a chance of a lifetime

“Very Pleased!”

This hotel was amazing... It was very relaxing... the rooms were beautiful...beds were comfy...they have two different pools...kids/ family pool in one area then an adult pool in another area. Loved that. The food was very good as well! Highly recomend this hotel to anyone wanthing a nice gataway
